I have an Asus RTX 3080 Ti Strix.
Full spec:
Intel i9 10900K
64GB RAM
RTX 3080 Ti
2TB M.2 SSD
Windows 10
All Windows drivers are up to date, and the NVidia driver is the most recent as of today.
Here is a video of the crash. I go through several crashes. Low detail setting seems to avoid the crash, but I put the game back up to Ultra and it crashes again, as you'll see in the video. I hope this is helpful.

But I don't want you all to wait so I tried to port the important bits on top of the current update. If you want to give it a shot, it's on the [next] beta branch on Steam.
In your Steam Library, right click on Drift in the sidebar, hit Properties..., go to the Betas tab, and next to Beta Participation choose next and then close that window.
Let me know if it solves the crash for you (or has other issues).
Thanks all for the reports!
I just updated to the Beta branch. Game is now almost completely unplayable. Game freezes within a few seconds after entering the game world after continuing my save. I am using Ultra settings.
Edit: Just tried playing on a brand new game, and game freezes immediately upon entering the game environment, then CTD after a few seconds.
Well that’s certainly worse! It’s safe to hop back to normal. Thanks for trying.
i think I can understand why that happened - I may just need to backport the engine fix entirely to get this cleaned up.
More to come…
Apologies there's not more testing I can do on my side - but based on the reports I've seen this should fix the root cause.
Thanks!
Just to update. After the most recent Beta fix, the game now seems to be working fine. There is an occasional stutter from time to time. It is likely loading in new areas (maybe?). But otherwise it hasn't crashed yet after playing for an hour or two!!
Thanks for the quick fix!
