Game broke in combat cant access options screen, save/load options

Anyone had this,
captured 3 towns plus shootouts in the wild, gone to see if I can recruit Conrad again, getting to the mine area, when in combat and searching, I can do an initial save, but after combat I can no longer save, and the Disc icon and computer icon is greyed out, I cant even get into selecting settings or quitting the game. also getting back to the combat screen from the main map is difficult, I cannot jump straight back into game, I have to go via the auto resolve then into game.

Only way I can quit the game is alt tab and close the window.

No way. Won’t fix the problem. Only reload, from start the sector or the day.
