Why does JA2 classic requires Wildfire?!

Currently, JA2 classic is on sale and I wanted to buy, but it says, that it needs Wildfire as a prerequisite. Why is that? I don't want to buy Wildfire. Also, comments say, that when you have Wildfire installed, there is no way to run JA2 classic anymore, steam will always start wildfire.
Did anyone overcome this issue?

If you buy this version, you can play Classic JA2 too. When you click "Play" on Steam, you can choose between launching Wildfire and Classic. Also, you don't need any "Windows 10 Fixes" from fans, both games are working fine for me. Mods (like 1.13) are also working fine, though it is recommended, to copy JA2 Steam folder to the different place, and install mods over it.

Wildfire is pretty cool, give it a try. New mercs, new maps, higher resolution.
