Gear Progression for Luna?
I just got to the planar area, and got some really good gear. What is the most efficient gear progression now? Is the guide outdated or it still works? What level should I start replacing the free pure gear?

Hmm, this planar gate section is very outdated right now. Just complete this PG quests and continue to your main quest. At lvl 67 you will open the Tiamat raid and her side dungeons.

That quest gives you better gear for free than PG. At lvl 75 you'll start to farm some of the real late game gear of the game. For now, just focus on leveling.

But you cna craft planar gate lvl 70 gear to make your life easier when lvling, but is not mandatory. If you're new to the game, i suggest you do everything you can to improve your gear at your pace.

I am new at the same time I just want to reach 80 so I can be done with luna and try the other characters. Alright good to know, I guess I'll go back to story and not worry about the planar stuff. Is tiamat solo friendly? I don't have anyone to play with and matchmaking seems super dead so far.

EDIT: I got everything now, so I'm level 69, have 3x super trinkets, 4x disaster, +12 booster and weapon, and an extra trinket. So I just level to 75 and then how do I farm the late game gear?

You should have the Extreme Core quest unlocked sometime soon. When the quest appears, you should get that as well as upgrade your Super trinkets to Extreme (this is important since Extreme is still used with the 3/3 Purification Hell trinkets). At lvl 75, you unlock the Irina raid. Irina raid lets you craft 3 new trinkets which would help you with item lvl later on for Purification (wait for the quest though, since the quest gives a free trinket). Lvl 77 unlocks David. David raid lets you craft a Core, Module, and Amp but the Module can be acquired through the quest and Core is optional since you would have the free Extreme one already and early Purification bosses can drop your Puri core early if you're lucky (so you'll be replacing it anyway).

Purification unlocks at lvl 80 and this is where item lvl becomes important because if your item lvl is lower than the required one, you'll receive a debuff and deal less damage while if you have a higher item lvl, you get a buff and deal more damage. The gear you need can drop in Stage 1 from the bosses (either boss for the Fixis Core and a specific boss for the 2/2 mod set. In Luna's case, it's the Larin Modules you should be looking for and they are dropped in Harpas' boss stage. The 3rd module could be either a Harsp Booster or the Booster you can get from Yod... I forgot what it was called lol). The trinkets take a while to craft and they're divided into a 3/3 set (the purple Tindalos trinkets), a 2/2 set (the green Harpas trinkets), and the standalone Doll (the red Yod trinket). The 6 trinkets replace the Irina+Extreme ones in your gear slots, but don't throw them away yet since you'll find yourself using them again when you make your Hell trinkets. We don't have the Nitocris raid yet for the receivers(amps), so you can use any reciever/amp you get in the side dungeons for item lvl.

Purification is also where gear transcendence is introduced, and depending on how lucky you are with rng, it might take you a while to get everything to Transcendence lvl 3.

There's also Purification Hell, which is the current latest raid and introduces Transcendence lvl 4&5 + the Hell trinkets, but you need to be lvl 83 for that.

EDIT: if you need any help with stuff, you can add me in-game. ouo/

Ok, the gear progression goes like this
(I think it goes for all the characters)

> Level 1 - 54 Quest gear

> Level 54 - 60 PG54 gear (the pure stuff)

> Level 60 Disaster

> Level 70 Super Terror (but I'd suggest keeping it at no enhancement levels because you'll use it to make)

(Crater Gear/Tiamat Gear is supposed to be here, but honestly it's not worth the money. And no, Tiamat is not solo friendly. She will be if you get your Total Combat Power to about 1 million :D)

> Level 73Extreme (needs PG75 materials from raid bosses or can be crafted on its own, also uses up the Super Terror set. The core is given for free once you finish one of the raid quests)

> Level 75 - 80 David/Irina (Raid boss gear. A module and a trinket are given for free)

> Level 80 - Onwards Purification (this is too bothersome to explain lol. If you want to know, just say so *wink*)

I suggest enhancing the Extreme Gear, the David/Irina gear, and obviously the Puri gear. If you have +12 gear boosters, use it on the cores. Don't forget to tune them. If you have a brown item that looks like a bottle of pills (forgot the name xD), be sure to use it on your gear. It's quite RNG, but if you get the "grade" of a gear to "Superior", it'll make it stronger.

Question: Are you playing in NA or EU? I might be able to carry you if you're at NA (because that's where I play in)

Question #2: Are you part of a crew at the moment? Crews are literally an essential in the endgame; you'll need them for carries for raids. If you aren't in any at the moment, I would suggest looking for some. Don't worry, registration is free :SBpenguin:
