Buy this instead to scratch that action platformer itch.
The pricing is definitely a Wayforward decision as well. They price all of their games believing they can get away with Nintendo-like prices.
Game also received practically zero marketing since its announcement. Can only hope they somehow learned from this and by some miracle keep supporting the game with a much more fair price model for developer & consumer alike.
Same for me until recently. 6 months ago, I started getting really into indie platformers and metroidvanias. This YouTuber shows a ton of titles that I never would have come across before:

You could maybe beat both campaigns with one character each in under five hours if you ignore all the collectables and just go straight for the exit as soon as possible. But some of the levels can get a bit challenging and if you are ignoring collectables, you aren't going to be able to upgrade your character as much which is in turn going to make the game harder.
