Infinite combos, and no reversal or escape.
Where is the game balance? People use auto combo and at the end skill, you are in the air, splice auto combo is another skill this happens 4x in a row and your entire life is practically zero, you fell in the corner and die being beaten in the air with no chance to fight back. This game is a bad joke in letting a combo be infinite and still have the possibility of continuing after using a special ability.
How will they incourage new players to come and play a broken game like this, what a bad online mode where players abuse infinite combos who only one side plays, have already made me combos like this with Ladiva, and Vaseraga, and I don't doubt that this is possible with more characters in the game.

Sounds like your new to this game and I get some of your frustration because its really easy to mash out stuff in this game and get run down to death by certain characters but this game does not have infinite combos and this game has a good bit of defensive options to get players off of you during pressure situations.

As with all FGs that have been out for years, if your just now getting into one, the average player will already be pretty skilled, and the only time you can properly learn is if you run into enough new players like yourself to actually understand your playstyle and also how to defend against other characters/playstyles.

A few tips, if your in the corner there are many ways to get out:
- If your character has an invincible DP (look for invincible moves for your character) you can use that to stop the opponents pressure.
- when in doubt hold down back to block, and then if your getting pressured you can use the brave counter to get them off you and to get your turn back.
- You have the spot dodge to counter people who throw out unsafe or long recovery specials and you can punish them with enough practice.

I would recommend going through the very indepth tutorials in this game and it will show you how to get out of different situations, how you character plays and things like that.

Overall learning new fighting games that already have an established player base, as a new player is going to be hard, so you either have to get through the hard part and learn why your having these issues or you get destroyed by players who know the game in and out. I would recommend jumping back in when the patch releases (20th) so maybe you will have more new players to learn the game with.

Step 1: Block.

Step 2: Wait for the patch that comes out in two days.

Just to be clear, infinites aren't really possible in this game. Combos have a hard limit, after which attacks will fail to connect. There are some exceptions to this, for example if the first hit of a multi-hit attack hits the combo limit, the rest of the hits will still connect, but the limit will correctly apply afterwards.

Try learning in tutorial mode first, There are no infinity combo in this game when most of the cast (aside from A.Belial and Nier) rely on H Special to combo which got a cooldown as part of mechanic.
Unless you mean Raging Strike which can be used as an extend combo tool which cost BP.
You will always have a rough time starting out late, and I've been there before, but this also means that you have a ton of resources and people available that could give you some direction. If you're patient you'll be able to succeed.

There aren't any infinite combos. Yes, there are characters with long combos, because recovery only starts to get better once you've been launched off the ground at least once, this means characters such as Belial and Ladiva can combo for long. However scaling on the damage will always prevent it from becoming impossible to deal with. Once you hit the ground and your character wakes up however, there will always be an option available, even if it didn't mean you're able to hit them back:

First of them is to block and wait for a move you know can be punished or interrupted.

Second is to use an invincible move with a quick activation, all characters have an invincible move or a counter in its stead. Some of them unfortunatedly cost 50% meter, but that's enough in most matches. Invincible moves can beat most forms of offense, even throws done to you when you're standing up. I'd recommend looking it up, because it usually is a deterrent for people pressuring you every time you hit the ground. Mind you, they could still block them, but it should still be plenty effective on the low ranks.

Third, like people also pointed out, brave counters are a solid way out. I wouldn't abuse them, but you should try activating it at least once a round. It's worth noting that brave counters might miss if you're mashing the buttons to activate it, as it is particularly bad against moves with low recovery, such as lights.

Fourth. People forget this, but THROWING/GRAPPLING is also an option, it can be risky, but it will work now and then, specially because of how fast throws are.

I hope you can be a bit more patient with granblue, it's a pretty fun game. :cooldownsoda:

Patience is a virtue, and accepting that you aren't as good as other players is the first step to improving. If you can't shed your ego and you blame problems that don't exist out of frustration, you'll never be willing to recognise your faults and improve as a player.
