However I use this kind of button layout on my arcade stick and it's pretty good:
L M H Dash
U S Block
Then I qcf + S/US for supers. S is pretty close to M/H so I don't have to do much gymnastics for different skill variants. L doesn't do anything for skills so it doesn't matter.
But for a "Super Skybound Art" you would have to press the "Throw Button" as well.
As we are already pressing the button combination for throw to do the "Skybound Art" it doesnt register as a "Super Skybound Art"
Long story short: How do you do "Super Skybound Arts" with your layout?
Skybound Arts and Super Skybound Arts can both be done by just pressing the "Blazblue Button Layout" all at once with this layout.
That this is even a problem surprises me.
Im still using my Street Fighter 4 Tournament Edition fight stick. After all those years good as new.
Throw-button is the same as pressing L+M, so you can do it by pressing L+M+U+S.
I you have technical commands enabled you can do SBA with qcf+S ans SSBA with qcf+SU.
Qanba Titan currently, before that I had Hori Real arcade Pro. Both I like.
I second the Hori Stick.
In my experience there are pretty good hori sticks that come quite cheap. Easy recommendation if you are short on money or dont play THAT much.
I think ill go with the old blazblue 4 button input and just do skill and block on close by buttons.
And for anyone wondering whether they should switch to an arcade stick or not: it all depends on personal preference, how much you're willing to put into it, and how often you intend on bringing your controller with you. There's no wrong answer here except control schemes that are not tournament-legal, assuming you even want to get there.
Aside from that I have the same layout as NohevaMortti on my stick. I almost never use the Dash and Throw buttons and instead rely on the old 66 input for dash and L+U for throws, so these buttons got pushed on the side. However I wanted L M H on the same line, U below them, and easy access to the Skill and Block buttons; the Skill one in particular is a lifesaver when using 22x or SBA/SSBA (and even then I often input them the hard way). It took me some time to adapt since I started with the default Type A layout, but it feels great now that I'm used to it.
