wait on sale, not worth it
although i havent tried the minigames yet which i guess would be more enjoyable, the actual gameplay and mechanics are still meh
auto combo killed the first game so what to do? keep it here

-"but! but! its a footsie game!"-
-NO! ITS NOT A FOOTSIE GAME stop telling yourself that

combos are still unsatisfying to do cause the game dictates you to be as simple as you can be with your juggles or options, there is no frame perfect timing on this game cause the auto combo is basically the only method to express yourself

cancel-able normals on air and ground would have made this game 1000times better

- but that would make it an anime game!
- this game is combo heavy game already giving it more flexibility would have made it more fun

has good balancing now, but its not fun tbh and just felt like an upgrade from the first one, well it is an upgrade, but it felt like just an expansion not a new game, i asked for a refund and will probably just wait for sale

idgaf first game was awesome this one is too
You didn't give a single reason as to why it's not a grounded (footsie) game.
You're free to not like the game if that's your taste but you aren't critically evaluating the game at all; you're just projecting your expectations for anime games onto it.

There is a difference between "I don't like it." and "It's not good."
In terms of it not feeling like a new game, welcome to the world of anime fighting game sequels, they are almost all like that. Because they are expansions.

Not the biggest fan of GBVS, but felt like chiming in a bit.

i'm more of an old school arcade dweller that relies more on abcd

my complains for the autocombo comes from how the game implements it, any sequence on the buttons turns into an auto combo, i would have liked it if i can...
stand medium then down heavy with a perfect timing instead of an autocombo forcing itself on my inputs

many of the optimal and cool combos require you to force yourself out of using auto combos though, so your complaint is completely able to be circumvented. if you look at some of the advanced combos they also have some pretty tight timings on them as well

i think your in to deep on auto combo hate it gives high low in this game at least and dont pretend the game has no depth watch any high level player there doing a lot more

50% off for people that own the original would have a been nice start. Instead, it's a skip.

I wasn't really expecting it, but I also wasn't expecting deluxe to cost $100 here in Canada. Rude way to wake up. With tax that goes all the way to $115 which is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Would have appreciated a 25% off or something after all.
