Cant play the demo

When I start the demo I get the option only buy the game, if I press start it stays full game data already loaded or something. any idea why?

TL;DR: If you ever owned full game (purchased or through family sharing) but then refunded or lost access to it, then you won't be able to play demo anymore.

From what I've heard, cygame's server has a record of associated steam ID, and there isn't a way to downgrade to free edition.
You may need to contact their support to see if they can work something out for you.

Alternatively, if you have a 2nd steam account, you can try accessing the free edition on that instead after deleting the game's local save file folder (the directory shared above in the other post)

try use the keyboard to start the game or press another button, it happened to me too, normally just pressing this solves it
