This game is a joke, it was hardly worth getting even at 60% off. I do not recommend wasting your money on it unless you are going to be playing on NA server and are fine with getting matched against players who are a lot higher rank than you.
Are lobbies or casuals more populated?
This is the dead zone between DLC characters and it can depend on the time of day as well. There are enough players to get matches, but not enough to always avoid getting the same person a few times.
at B rank, you'll have a hard time finding players for sure, unless a new character gets released. try to play at daily quest reset to have a chance getting matches.
you can expect a match every few minutes if you play at the right time.
once you reach A rank, you'll more easily find people to play, and your rank won't lower.
most players are in A-S rank.
in A-S rank, you can expect a match every like 2 minutes.
in S+ and higher, you'll have no problem finding players.
by the way, once you reach a certain rank, all your characters will be marked as a higher rank.
so for exemple, I reached S+ rank 2 days ago, now all my characters, even those I never played are A rank by default.
so a good strat is to farm ranked matchs with 1 character to reach at least s+/s++, after that, finding players will never be a problem anymore.
