That the target audience for Granblue Fantasy is women where men are being served out of obligation rather than because the devs want to. All the female fanservice that men would like has some kind of asterisk attached to them, censorship or otherwise, meanwhile the male fanservice is allowed to be with no strings attached.

We also can't ignore that a male character is the first in the game to get a summer skin.
It's fine if this game wants to appeal to the female gaze and doesn't care much to show off its female characters, I just wish they'd be honest about it and stop teasing us with these half-measures.

versus is a kinda ironic scenario. men play fighting games more than women, let alone competitive games moreso.
not gonna complain about how they market their game in terms of demographics, but they should know this and i assume they already read the room.

i just find it funny that you can tell who has and who hasn't played the gatcha because summer belial has been a thing well before even the first granblue fighter came out, and because its pretty popular it made sense to give belial the summer skin, popular character = popular skin

What's really funny is how people are still disingenuous about what the real issue is. Not one person cares that the skin exists, what people want are answers to why the preferential treatment to one kind of fanservice over the other.

If the girls were never censored this outfit would've been a non-issue. I know this because games like Xenoblade 2 exist where no one is malding about Zeke's swimsuit outfit.

granblue has a lot of issues trust me but i think preferential treatment for optional character skins is just about touching the floor of the priorities chart

my only grap on the game, boring easy input universal mechanics, and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ HUGE hitboxes
