Belial's new outfit is disgusting.
i don't care what you think about his skin. I think it's the most disgusting thing I've ever seen put into a fighting game. I hate how female focused this game is.

What I find interesting about Belial's skin is that Narmaya and the other girls more often than not have alt colours that cover up their bodies with leggings, pantyhose, body suits etc, but Belial has no such thing.

If that's not a clear indication which audience this game is actually for I dunno what is.

Well, credit where it's due, at least they put both the men and women in socks.

That the target audience for Granblue Fantasy is women where men are being served out of obligation rather than because the devs want to. All the female fanservice that men would like has some kind of asterisk attached to them, censorship or otherwise, meanwhile the male fanservice is allowed to be with no strings attached.

We also can't ignore that a male character is the first in the game to get a summer skin.
It's fine if this game wants to appeal to the female gaze and doesn't care much to show off its female characters, I just wish they'd be honest about it and stop teasing us with these half-measures.

If this outfit helps sponsor seasons two and three and beyond, I'm all for it, even if they release one for all the other male characters )

This has to be bait, surely.
We get one skin for a character who's dialogue is mostly of a sexual nature wearing erotic clothing and we're gonna pretend the target audience is women and that this game doesn't constantly appeal to the male gaze? Should we talk about the other skins that have released so far? Maybe what happens when you change to the original character designs in settings? What about 2B's clothes when she self-destructs? Even looking at the characters as a whole, are we honestly going to pretend the male characters show more skin than the female cast do, and in provocative places?
I have no issue with the designs in this game. I think they're gorgeous, infact. But let's not pretend that one skin is somehow indicative of the straight male audience being treated as second class. You know full well that the reason why the female character designs have some extra censorship in versus has nothing to do with the target audience.

For all the complaints I have only run into one player in ranked matches using the skin so far, I feel the Beatrice witch costume was far more popular.

We absolutely can talk about the previous skins and female character designs being censored in some shape of form while Belial gets a free pass.
are people still malding over a skin?

Nah. I think everyone at this point has either just dropped the game to play something else (Or just do anything else with their time), or just try and ignore it.
Personally I just stick to the lacking offline portion of the game and spend less and less time with it.
