( I'm not seeking advice either, like I said its been 4 years and i've practically did it all. I'm just putting this out there, because people have been rumor spreading and it makes me feel nauseous. )
I have something like that. But the problem is, the rumors keep being spread about me and this character unabated. There was a person who, is the source of the harassment and people would parrot, tried to get me blacklisted from places with things he tried to put out there about me which made no kinds of sense at all. People came after me, and harassed me even further. They twisted how I liked this character into an obsession over genitals the character never had given she is a Woman. Anything that interacted with this character got reduced to gens, which is also another issue that I tried to help others understand in showing that the lore was saying something different and much better and so others wouldnt end up doing what these people have been doing to me. As well as having more people to speak with, instead other feeling very uncomfortable when it comes to what these people do when it comes to that character.
People would stay silent too because they felt there was nothing that can be done, and when I tried to get someone to cover this, they wouldn't do it because "Granblue is niche".
"Never interact with deep fan communities, especially from a game that is basically an half baked isekai where you teen dies and get carried to superhero by a loli superpowerful support girl"
Gacha communities will always have big issues, especially in the west.
because the first mention of gender says it all
hard for those people to know how to enjoy any medium nowadays
Yep, and come back to the same things. Very funny joke man. You're so smart. Especially given that I wasn't asking for advice.
Yeah, people were trying to shoehorn that so hard and yet it was completely irrelevant. It got me wrapped up in things I would've rather not see -- ever and all because I held interest in that character, and other people were getting tired of it. Even people in Japan were tired of it. It was like a horrible Domino Effect. People tried to call me transphobic over that character too because of the person people were parroting, which is insane because she wasn't trans to begin with and can't read. Primals are immutable, which means its impossible.
That doc, and how long this went for really just shows how long people have been getting away with things as well as their inability to read as they fall for what other people say and twist about me.
People see things as perfect regarding the community, but it really just isn't.
It's why im just interacting with the JP people over them and being taught the language. Though im also learning it to learn more about the game and such.
idk who your talking to to think this community's perfect but 1 you need to stop talking to them and 2 they need to get a mental revaluation
I'm saying that the community isn't flawless. Bad things do happen in it. If it was so perfect, people wouldn't have been letting other people run all over me and throwing it all under the rug to be twisted and misconstrued.
People staying silent was actually counterproductive as things got worse for me. It is also shown that I don't need to interact for these things to happen.
