3 New Characters annonced at EVO 2024

For our big pleasure, not 1, not 2 but 3 New Characters are coming :

-Versusia with 1.50 update the August 15th !

-Vikala for October !

-And...

Sandalphon for the 2nd Season Pass !
(Best annonce because for some people they sould stop complaining about it)

Not gonna lie, I wasn't a fan of Versusia's design when she first appeared in the story mode but dayum does her gameplay look cool. Both her supers look super dope and she's like a humanoid Bahamut with her SSBA lol
More hyped about her than Vikala personally now.

They broke the alternating release pattern of dude->girl->dude->girl though. I was anticipating Seofon based on the release pattern. Guess he'll be in pass 2 now.

I'm referring to her SSBA animation. Intentionally animated to mimic how Bahamut attacks in Gran/Djeeta's SSBA

Season 2 start date undefined lol. Good job Cygames, the one character who matters you still didn't give a release date for.

Anyway, I firmly believe this game will not survive until Sandalphon drops. I suppose if it does and it's not 150 players by that time, I might be interested in getting it for 80% off or more along with Sandalphon. Not worth my money until then.

Why would they announce a date for season two when season one hasn't ended yet? What purpose would they have for doing this?

I don't think there is any fighting game that announces actual dates (not time frames) for anything beyond their next releasing character/update. If anyone can find one, good for you because that is one in like a hundred.

Then what was the point of that Sandalphon tease? No one's going to get hyped until they know at least a time frame of when they can expect said teased content to release. Then again, I can't really blame them for putting that in either, since Versusia was a buzzkill of a reveal and Vikala (who for some reason is popular?) is obviously not enough on her own to get people hyped. Once again, they insult the fanbase by using the #1 globally most voted for character to appear in the game as a tease to get eyes on their dead game instead of prioritizing his release.

I will be shocked if this game has higher numbers than UNI2 by the time season 2 comes around.

If I were to take an educated guess as to why Vikala is popular, it'd have to do with Vikala's backstory and how her character has a kind of "split personality". She looks similar to Nadeko from the Monogatari series too.

Bruh, Tekken 8 just dropped a Heihachi reveal and release date in Autumn 2024. Guess which game I'll be buying on sale between Granblue and Tekken 8 rofl.

No idea what a Cosmos is and don't care. Heihachi is one of my top 5 fighting game villains, one of the reasons I didn't buy T8 on release was because with him gone, there were no good main antagonists to play as in Tekken anymore. His return has guaranteed a sale for me and Tekken averages 6k players compared to Granblue's 350.

It's an easy choice for me, but you have fun playing your discord fighter, I guess.
