Game doesn't work with xbox controller?

Hello everyone, I wanted to ask a question, I just bought this game, I usually play fighting games (sf6, dbzfigthers, tekken8) but when I connect my Xbox controller it doesn't detect it... is there a bug or simply this game doesn't support controller from xbox? if not to return it.

I think it's supposed to auto detect but if it doesn't do that, maybe try turning on steam input override for the controller under the game's properties configuration.

It should work. I sometimes use my xbox one controller with the game with no issue.

I did exactly that yesterday and I still can't detect it, where the game is placed, on the right side where the control icon is, I put it there and tried to configure it and I could only play with the keyboard :/

I tried that with the xbox one controller that I have with cable, it is from the Power A spectral brand.

Not sure what you meant by where the game is placed. I'm just referring to this config here:

Instead of the default setting, manually set it to enable steam input.

Does your current controller work with other games? (maybe faulty cable?)
By default xbox, playstation, and even nintendo controllers should all be supported already with this game.
Or, try another controller to see if the same issue persists.
