Still no Sandalphon?

I refunded this game almost immediately when I realized they didn't include the most popular and highly requested character in the global poll. Now it's 4 months into this game's lifespan and I see all these cringe DLC picks like 2B and whoever Vane's supposed to be, take precedence over a *still unannounced* Sandalphon.

What gives, Cygames? Are they really just incompetent and think their game will survive long enough for them to hold Sandalphon over until Season 2? Terrible way to do business, good thing I refunded when I did. Funniest thing is they added Sandalphon to their newer Granblue Relink game but somehow they forgot to add him in GBFV since the first game lol. Pure cringe.

Game's doing solid numbers still. Comparable to Soul Calibur, 6 which got 2 full seasons of DLC, and likely would have gotten a 3rd if not for COVID.

Considering that Sandalphon's 3D model is already in the game (you can view it in the Figure-mode after completing the Storyline), he is very likely to be one of the two. The same happened for Vane, and Beatrix too has a model in-game.

SC6 is no example to look up to. The game died relatively quickly and even during its peak, it was mid af. It's probably the worst SoulCalibur game out there and likely the game that killed the series.
Granblue has potential due to its low entry barrier and high skill ceiling, but suffers from the same issue as SC6, a terrible roster. They need to start adding the characters people voted in to the top places in the poll and quickly, if they want my money. Sandalphon is the only character that I care about playing, as someone new to Granblue.

I know about the model being in the game and Sandalphon's even featured in the story, if I'm not mistaken, which makes it even more nonsensical that he's not playable in the game yet. Like I said, they even released him in Relink recently and that game came out after GBVSR but for some reason they still haven't added him as playable in their fighting game VS series. It makes no sense. If he is one of the final two characters for Season 1, why are they still keeping it a secret? They need to reveal the last two characters and one of them had better be Sandalphon.

You probably just think SC6 had a terrible roster because you hate 2B. SC5 is overwhelmingly considered to have the worst roster by fans, people didn't like the new generation of characters at all. And once reversal edge was nerfed and the balancing issues were largely sorted out, most people really liked SC6.

They probably want to hold onto Sandalphon so people have something to look forward to in the future. Guilty Gear players had to wait three or four seasons for Slayer, still no word on Dizzy either.

I'd prefer if the devs didn't rely on just the popularity polls, they're often pretty meaningless. Sandalphon is actually popular, but what happened with SC6 is that all 10 Talim players got together and voted as a bloc. Then when they put Talim in the game, no one actually played her.

2B's inclusion played a big part, as I typically hate guest characters taking the spot of popular characters from the native series, but even the base roster for SC6 was garbage imo. If anything, SC5 is my favorite SC game and the best (either that or SC4), APatroklos remains my top SC character next to Siegfried.

Sandalphon is universally voted as the most requested character and Cygames thinks that entitles them to use him as bait so people will buy the Season 2 pass? That's the kind of scummy tactic Cygames is reduced to now? That's sad and if it's the case, I'm glad I refunded. I won't touch this game until they put the most voted for character in the game, he should have been the first DLC character.

Cringe. The only 'Lucy" that could ever replace Sandalphon is the OG Supreme Primarch Lucifer and I doubt they'll ever put him in the game. Lucilius looks cool and all but he's just terrible in game.

I've seen/read some entitled posts before but, this might be a new low. Just because he isn't in, the game is "trash"? You don't like the game, or Granblue then. You just like a character you /think/ you'll enjoy based on visuals, since you yourself have said you're new to Granblue in its entirety. Citing Relink as having Sandalphon is also a joke since he isn't out til LATE May, at the earliest.

I don't mind wanting someone in a game, I've been waiting for my characters in GGST and SF6, and will be waiting for the foreseeable future. This does not preclude the game(s) from being good. All of these games are great. Just be patient til your character shows up, don't be such an entitled baby.

I cringed reading this. You do realize that Sandalphon is number 1 globally in the character poll, right? Since when is it considered "entitled" to want the universally most voted for character to be put in the game?

And I explained to you very simply why it wouldn't be "funny" if Sandalphon fans didn't like his gameplay, Cygames would be crying rivers if they disappointed us, since he is #1 most requested in the global polls. Anyway, cope harder.
