Levelling up characters, thoughts?

Honestly i'm fine with a character gaining more xp from playing online matches, win or lose, you'll most likely level up from every match, but if you want to do an arcade run with a character you wont gain a single level? That seems silly to me, I think based on your score in arcade you ought to receive a handful of levels at least, probably doesn't matter to most players, just irks me a bit especially considering every character can get to LEVEL 500.

I did play arcade with Narmaya on hard just now and did not gain a single level. Am I doing something wrong? She is still lvl 1 for me.

You do gain levels in arcade, but the gain rate is EXTREMELY low.
Agree this should be boosted a bit.

Online play is currently the best bet, be it ranked, casual or lobby. You don't have to win. Just losing repeatedly will still grant you a ton of levels after like every other game or so.

You only get 10 exp for winning an arcade mode match regardless of difficulty. While you get 300 exp for winning one online match. At the beginning it takes 200 exp to level up a character, but that starts to increase as you get more levels.

Which shouldn't matter. Someone bought the game, let them do whatever to unlock some color palettes and weapon skins lol.

2 - 3 months of online play is more than enough to level up everyone you use lol.

I am suffering from trying to get GranBruise related trophy. Dang, unless you come out 1st place every game it's will take years for me to reach Lv.50 at this rate.

Just to confirm before buying. Is leveling up only available from online matches? And you cannot level if you are offline matches?

you can gain levels in arcade but it's waaaaaay to slow and you still need to be connected online to do it.

My Zooey is hitting level 900 and hasn't unlocked a thing for a while now. I'm very disappointed.

I think after 500 there's nothing else to gain beside bragging rights.

They buffed the exp gain so you can get level 3 if you do both endings back to back but still not useful for higher levels unless you need like a few points to level up.
