Accurate translation/localization??

there are rumors going around that this is not accurately translated or localized. if i buy/play a Japanese game i want it to be accurate. dont need western culture inserted into it.

for 50 dollars I expect a good product! are they saying japanese culture is not worthy of being preserved?

Normally I defend localizers because I hate overly literal, stilted translations, but I think this went beyond localization.

Edit: Some people are claiming it was originally intended to be disrespectful, but I don't know enough about the context to say. If it was meant to be disrespectful that would be a reasonably appropriate translation, but if not... then it really is just some political garbage, Some people say it is out of character, but other say it fits perfectly.. Either way they seem to be desperately avoiding the skin color aspect, which seems at least a little politically motivated. Let me say it also seems to interfere with the 'snow white' type trope as well. Raven Hair, Ivory Skin.

Arcsystem should fire the "localizers", I have had enough with this kind of malicious translators that ruins the context with their bias. The localizers job is to only localize jokes that makes sense to the English audience like puns or jokes and nothing else beyond that.

me and My friend planning to buy the game and play it together. English is not my language, but i can play global game just fine. But I hate it when they put too many slang or jargon. I don't understand what they mean by "cashing vit D". Who is Ettie? Yuel call Societte, Socie. Why is it so hard Just to compliment her snow white skin? What Vit D have to do in this, I know it's good for bone.
I like GBF and still play the browser version, at least they make it understandable for other non-american. But this localization issue make me reconsider buying it. Because My prioty is the story not the online match. And to play with my friends for fun

actually i dont even prefer that, but that is ok.

i will give an example. often in korean media the password is 1818. so i was watching this tv show on netflix they translated it as 6969. while literally 1 second later we see the guy inputting 1818 on the keypad. i was like ok what how why? (the guya who wasked for password even responds something like hahah very fun. or how childish!

so I researched it, and learned some about the korean language. and 3 years later i can read hangul and still learning to understand korean.

but i get it is easier for someone to just hear 6969!
