No Controller Support, deleted it right away

What a joke. It's 2023 and we still get modern games on PC that don't support controllers at all especially for a fighting game.

Like there are more than 2 controllers on the market, I built my controller and I have to scour the internet for a fix, while some nerd is like "Mine worked must be you being dumb". Like that solves any problems. It's like people are such NPC's (yes im using that acronym unironically) and so dumb that their brain just doesn't have room for nuance or grey area. Everything is just a polarized (Yes/no, agree/disagree, works or doesn't work) even stuff like this. LOL

And lets say this isn't an actual issue, and that it really is on the users end:

At the very least they need to change the text on the Steam library page so that it doesn't say " this game does not support controllers " because vanilla GBVS obviously did.

never had an issue on PC with any controller ranging from PS3-4-5 controllers xbox 360 XB1 switch pro and my qanba fight stick its not the games fault your crap aint working lol

My stick worked out of the box, and so did my PS4 pad.

I must confess, I too employ a rather shady controller ... which surprisingly functions flawlessly.

I re-installed the game and decided to use the Xbox One X controller and it works!

Also Potential fix, I had steam input off, which allowed me to use inputs, but no ability to map the buttons, and the fix I found that worked for me is this:
1. Have the game with steam input off
2. Start the game.
3. Before the game loads turn steam input on (dont know if this matters, but its what I did you might be able to just do it while its on.)
4. You should now be able to navigate the pages with your controller and map buttons!
On a side note: I saw before I did this I had 2 controllers (1 and 3), and when I did this method I had three (1, 2, and 3) on the controller select screen for training mode, so might be an indicator for if it worked, if you see the amt of controllers increase.

Edit: Glad you got it figured out but that is weird. I have off-brand controllers and they all work.

Ps 4,5, x box and switch pro pads works fine. Razer and hori sticks too.
