Best Fighting Game 2023

100 hours in I am having a blast and cannot wait for more content to come. I played 970 online matches at this point and never felt frustrated or annoyed by the game even when being destroyed by more experienced players or top tier characters. Meanwhile MK1 was pure torture to me (played it for 300 hours) and SF6 is just clownish for the drive gauge mechanics alone (couldn't stick around past 12 hours playtime).

It is clear to me that Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising is here to stay. Absolutely amazing.

i am having a blast too, played a bunch of ggst, started sf6 but drive impact made me ragequit. bravery point system is more balanced and let you combo with it.

its an insane game.

so far this is the best game of 2023 id say SF6 is good but its such a slow game i dont like the pacing of it as far as anime games go this is pristine quality the best arcsys has ever done visually

The original GBVS was THE fighting game that got me to actually learn all the fundamentals. This game is a vast improvement over the original as far as core fighting mechanism is concerned.
