Is there a way to keep game audio when Alt+Tab out of the game?
Sometimes you want to look something up outside of the game while on matchmaking standby. This seems to be a developer choice to mute the game when it's not focused. I think so because some other games keep the audio running even when the game is minimized.

The display mode like "fullscreen" and "windowed" don't make a difference. I'm aware of a software here on Steam that makes it possible to play every game in borderless windowed mode but according to review it does introduce performance instability, which is obviously terrible for a fighting game.

There is, but it requires you to go into the AppData folder to edit the Engine.ini. I'm just going to copy and paste this helpful post on reddit with some small edits. Credits to u/Sammmy1056.

Step 1: Click on your C drive and find the following folder: "C:\Users\"YourComputerName"\AppData\Local\GBVS\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor"

(You can also more quickly access the AppData\Local folder by pressing "Windows Button+R", typing "%localappdata%", then hitting OK.)

Step 2: In the "WindowsNoEditor" folder, find the "Engine.ini" file and right click and select "Edit". The file will be opened up in Notepad.

Step 3: Copy the below text and paste it underneath the already existing text in the file:

[Audio]

UnfocusedVolumeMultiplier=1.0

Step 4: Click File and Save to save the changes.

Step 5: Launch the game and have audio when the game is out of focus.

Unfortunately this did not work for me. I'm playing DBD and soon as I alt tab out to go to a different screen (browser in this case) the audio is gone.

Thanks though.
