You're still in the mashing phase, which is normal for someone just starting fighting games. I was probably in the mashing phase for more than a decade while playing FG's on the side.
Combos are cool, but not very useful this early on. I recommend doing the GBVS Situational Training thingy in the Training Mode.
Training -> Select Characters -> In Battle, bring up the menu -> Situational Training.
Do 'The Basics' and 'Situational Training' for a start, then 'Character Strategy' for whoever you feel like playing. "Matchup Training' is for when you nail the earlier stuff down.
And i can't stop mashing buttons because if i do, my action will not perform as intended, the game expects me to be quick, it won't let me perform moves comfortably, it has to be precise.
