i can wait for a sale but i cant wait for 2b
Sorry but your argument isn't justified. Yes, previously companies did that ♥♥♥♥ too but it isn't right. Sorry but examples like BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma to Extend and Persona 4 Arena to Ultimax are predatory moves charging people for a "new game" when the previous game could of been updated to the new version as it is replacing it. Good examples of this were Guilty Gear Xrd Rev to Rev 2 and Under Night in Birth Exe: Late to CLR giving fans an option for an affordable upgrade and not making them double dip. It was excusable with game like Super Street Fighter 2 to Turbo as back then there was no method to upgrade and a new game had to be made.
Previous owners of GranBlue Fantasy Versus should have been given a 50% discount for purchasing Rising as an upgrade as that would of been a good look for the company and respecting the player base for their support.
This free version is serviceable but pretty bare bones overall.
To answer the question, no you must own the game to own the dlc. The free to play edition, from my understanding, is considered a different game.
What you're saying is that, after making new models, updating the graphics, changing or updating the shading engine, changing the mechanics, adding more moves and animations, adding more characters, etc. Adding an entire new gamemode, new lobbies, adding rollback, and a whole new character crossover with one of the most popular characters in media, this should all have been done for free . For you .
That's insane. On the rare occasion that a game does something even CLOSE to this much added content, and has an updated version as a gift for its community, since when was this ever a reasonable expectation. Show me the numbers on how you actually think this makes sense.
previous version has been going on deep sale for a while.
