Or maybe stop using inferior input devices and switch to keyboard, abc or fight stick.
I want to see these "best players" play games that require actual execution. Most of them play Fisher-Price titles. None of them play Tekken and are capable of doing KBDs, wavu, electrics and other just frames. None of them were ever successful in Street Fighter before the game introduced short cuts and easy input for toddlers.
It was designed with gamepads in mind when it comes to layout and easy inputs. But gamepads are still inferior due to trigger actuation distance, unreliable directional inputs and just a pain in the butt when you have to constantly grind your left thumb on the d-pad for motions. Keep telling yourself that it was designed for gamepads if that makes you feel better about your input device dhoice. Gamepads still are crap. Hell, try consistently plinking on a gamepad. I do 9 frame 66L perfectly on hitbox or arcade stick. Gamepads cannot do that.
the irony...
Electrics are easier to do in pad tho.
KBD's can only be done in stick (if u can on pad u probably cant consistently) but who cares about KBD's because wave dashing is more important.
Also Punk is super good at street fighter and he plays on Pad.
You're telling me diagonal inputs are easier to pull off frame perfect on d-pad? This is absurd, bro. Especially simultaneously pressing 2 considering that gamepad buttons are so wobbly and have this inconsistent actuation force and distance.
"Who cares about KBD because wave dashing is more important?"
LOL??? Another asinine assertion. KBD is for gaining space. Wavu is for closing it while low profiling and mixing up the opponent. One is for defense, the other is for offense. Need I say more?
Punk is god at SF now, yes. But SFV and SF6 are Fisher-Price games. You won't ever see im play SF4 and incorporate 1-frame links because you cannot reliably priority link on pad. I love Punk but let's be honest. He is currently complaining about DP inputs being a problem for him in SF6... imagine him playing anything without easy inputs, without shortcuts and something that relies heavily on plinking, piano tapping, clean 360s, just frame inputs, etc.
