GBF item pack and early access
I bought DNF Duel day one...
Besides, saying that something else is worse doesn't mean the thing in question is good.
We shouldn't treat the turd of a product that is DNF Duel, instead we should look at Netherrealm's games or SF6 as standard.
Not to mention that what Rising offers in Standard edition already is plenty good (I grinded the hell out of RPG Mode in regular Versus).
Deluxe Edition on PS4/PS5 has extra stuff despite costing exactly as much as Steam version.
Free version doesn't matter to anyone that wants to buy the game at all. Even in regular version, there's only a single non-DLC that ever interested me and being restricted only to Gran + 3 periodic characters is even worse (unless you treat it just as what it is - a demo, unless you decide to main Gran).
where is this extra content we will be missing ? they said in their posts and videos deluxe will be on PC and didnt mention any changes
"Granblue Special Item Set: GBVSR Pack and early access are not included in the Steam version of Grandblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Deluxe Edition."
sourced directly from their site: https://rising.granbluefantasy.jp/en/products
they did the same thing for GG strive too 3 days on ps4/5 from pre order it wasnt a big deal really but i understand wanting to play from the get go it does have crossplay you could buy it on console if you dont want to wait
I feel bad (not necessarily angry, triggered or entitled) exactly because I don't own PS4 nor PS5 (and until Sony drastically changes their policies again (this time for the better), I won't go back to Playstation).
The slap to the face stings more especially because of crossplay, which means non-PC players get extra 3 days to try out new characters and mechanics (not having a beta on PC at least seems reasonable - SF6 proved that to some degree).
really tho? 50 bucks most ppl make that in just a few hours of work the price is not an issue im buying the deluxe which is 100 canadian sure its 100 bucks for me but am i going to let a price tag ruin something for me? absolutely not
if you are a person with a low income or responsibilities like kids car payments a crazy EX wife idk sure but for most people 50 or 75 is not a big deal
1) you are privileged.
2) 50 bucks is 50 bucks. That's almost the price of full game (GG Strive, SF6, Tekken 7 prices on launch)
3) Once again, I paid for what's already in Rising - just some additions shouldn't cost me another full price on top of that. If it was a brand new title, not something built on top of previous entry, I'd be really happy with that price. But it's not. It's title update.
Console chads winning again.
i am def not privileged i go to work every day i dont get handouts
anyways i guess you can play the free version if you dont want to pay at least it has rotating characters not to mention your also getting rollback and crossplay saying 50 bucks aint worth whats coming is just wild
No, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying you have some kind of unfair advantage (can't find better word) or anything.
Well earned privilege is still a privilege, nothing to be ashamed of. It's just that not everyone can find a job that pays well enough to have left overs for somewhat expensive hobby (video games).
Besides it's not my issue. I'm well enough to afford premium editions of games I'm really interested in (I don't buy a lot of games in general so it equals out). It's just a matter of principle.
If Cygames wants to sell the game old-school way, then they shouldn't introduce modern monetization schemes on top of it either. They are well enough already, they don't need to nickle and dime people they are trying to appeal to (remember lyrics for first Rising trailer?). It's simply disrespectful on top of previous failures form them.
but after playing the new game and it having rollback and crossplay plus all these extra new modes 50 is very fair i would say and for people new to the game it is going to have a 28 character starting roster
