Game progress lost

Hello!
Yesterday after leaving a game back to windows, I restarted Fieldrunners 2 and noticed that the main menu start button only leads me to the very first / tutorial map of the game.
It seems like my Steam Cloud profile has been overwritten, but I never asked for it.
As I spent 42 hours in total on that profile I would like to know what to do in order to get it back as it was before that bug?

I have also experienced this bug, I went elsewhere today and took my computer with me. When I loaded up fieldrunners my game did the same thing.
If anybody could assist with this it would be greatly appreciated.

I finally started over and completed the game from the beginning once again, this bug completely lost my previous game..

same problem here, used esc button to exit and started it again and progress lost.

Hi there.

So yesterday I lauched the game for my daily game, and Steam acted all weird and said I was in total offline (with the no connection tag at the bottom), which never happen before.

The thing is, my Steam is configured to always be in offline mode, but I can still update and download games, access friends and community, or just right click to get online.

Anyway, the game started and all my progress was gone. I quit and restarted Steam, after a few tries where it could not log in for whatever reason it finally managed to log me in and all was good in the usual offline I configured (with connection) so I launched the game again and still, all progress gone. And by the way, I don't use the Cloud and never will because this can happen anytime with it.

After 76 hours and 34/59 achievements that's it, uninstalled, I will never play it again, thanks for this freaking bug. I don't have time to redo 70+ hours and get my progress back.

There should be a way to backup the save regulary or don't freaking overwrite the original one when Steam is bugging. This is really sad because it is an awesome game and I was aiming for the 100% achievements but this will never happen.

Sad, really sad...


Anyway, thanks for the game, it was very fun until this bloody infuriating crap.

8 months later everything is exactly the same, I guess Fieldrunners team didn't even take the time to check this forum.
They should have kept this software iPhone / iPad only as they clearly aren't able to program / maintain correctly under Windows...

Bought this game on Humble Bundle... using the DRM free version. For whatever reason my game stopped saving the game. So whenever I restart the game I loose all previous progress...

Since this post is quite old I doubt they are going to fix this ... ever

Confirmed, post is nearly 1 year old : no feedback from devs and no game update, nothing. Making a good game is nice, being able to support it correctly seems to be a lot harder.
