keyboard vs. controller the ultimate showdown
ok i may be the minority here but i prefer the keyboard, the controller seems to akward and i feel that looking around seems more natural with a mouse. so discuss, is this game better played with controller or keyboard?

For any type of competetive shooter, it's obvious which control method is objectively better. As for this game, I could easily see both m/kb and controller being viable. It would be more a matter of comfort/preference, as shooting is not the primary focus in this game. Similarly, I played through Skyrim with a controller because precision was unimportant. I played through ZC2 with m/kb and, at times, I thought about plugging in my xbox pad just for the ease of movement. I plan to re-buy this game on PS3 within the next week or two so I'll give feedback as to my preferred control scheme then.

On a side-note, whenever the heated arguments about m/kb :vs: controller come up (this isn't one of them as it's civil thus far), I like to point out that while mouse is obviously better for aiming in shooters, analog sticks provide the best character movement. For years I've been saying that someone should make a keyboard where the wasd keys were replaced by an analog stick. I'd buy that in an instant. When possible, I actually use a controller from the Razer Hydra in one hand (for the analog stick, not the motion control) and mouse in the other. It actually works quite well with some games, provided you don't mind tinkering. My best experience there was with Serious Sam 3. It felt like control heaven. I've actually used the Hydra for that purpose far more often than for it's motion controls.

tl;dr - Mouse offers superior aiming. :HangingController: has superior movement.
p.s. - sorry for wall o' text. Too much coffee.

for me keyboard and mouse will always be the choice if you need precision and a complex interface expecially in fps, rpgs, strategy games etc. Gamepads and such offer more comfort and are designed for faster and more intuitive play when theres no aiming involved, also their good for games that requier button coordination (fighting games, 3rd person, racing games, platformers etc. I like to use a controller on this game, i can lay back or even stand and mash some buttons arcade style since you dont have to aim much :), the only problem is poorly mapped controls, lag and unresponsivness of controls (multiplayer to be exact) of this game.
