I'd settle for a Zenozoik game that isn't necessarily Zeno Clash 3 if it means we can return to the world in a manner development can actually manage.

I am really attached to Ghat as a character and always remain interested in where the rest of his life will lead. However, it would be just as valuable to a fan such as myself to see Ghat developed indirectly and through vignettes surrounding another important characters like Fathermother or Rimat. Any one of the major characters from ZC1 & 2 could carry their own game, Fathermother's past journeys especially. Visiting the other golems before their demise can give us glimpses or even complete revelations regarding beyond endworld without players necessarily having to journey there directly as Ghat in a Zeno Clash 3.

ACE has capable and clever enough writing to convey through a game most of what we want from Zeno Clash 3 without the game being Zeno Clash 3 or even proceeding straight from Zeno Clash 2. There is a rich timeline pieced together from ZC 1 & 2 and many possibilities for different game mechanics to associate with different characters. A game with Fathermother or Kax Teh doesn't have to be a first person brawler =D

I -really- like this poster above me's idea. Expanding the story to focus on some other characters could be an amazing way to bring us back to Zenozoik.

I'd really be interested in Fathermother's journeys, or even something like the blind sniper.

I'm pretty loyal to ACE Team by this point, as I feel a lot of us are. I've bought Zeno Clash 3 or 4 times just to share it with friends or play on a different platform. Also convinced other people to get ZC2 so we could play together haha~
I'd be totally down to see what ACE could create. ZC2 was honestly a huge surprise so maybe someday..
i really want to know what will be zenozoik's fate after all golems are dead. will there finally be exposure to the outside world??
friend of mine just installed ZC1 and ZC2, got me wanting ZC3 again. open world set in any point in time would be nice
I completed ZC2 last night, what an incredible experience. Stunning art design, fascinating lore and a great story. I left a couple of cubes left to find at a later date so I've still got something new to revisit the world for in the future. Here's hoping for another game soon. Devs, if you're reading this thread still, thanks a lot for making the ZC games - you created something truly special :)
I'm still waiting for ZC 3 as well :) It doesn't need to be open world huge AAA whatever. The size of both previous games was good enough. You've already shown lots of ingenuity, cleverness and originality through past years and games so I'm sure you can figure something out that the people would love and would be doable given your studio size and budget. I keep my fingers crossed and wish you good luck!

The cubes add a lot more to the overall lore of the world, go collect them asap!
Just beat ZC2, what a ride. Zenozoik is probably the most creative game world I ever had the pleasure of exploring. Thank you for making these games! Hope we get the chance to revisit this world sometime in the future.
Love this game, just wanted to comment again in 2016.

Please keep us updated ACE

Edit: I imagine that ACE devs crack a smile when they see this thread.

I hope that its secretly being worked on and they just dont want to set expectations yet.

:)

I was told the devs read this thread occasionally so I just wanted to pop by and tell them how much I loved Zeno Clash 1 and 2. Absolutely unlike anything else I've played. It's a really refreshing series. Which also applies to anything else they make.
ZENO CLASH 3 PLS

I was reading that pcgamer article, it mentions how something like skyrim would be impossible, so I just thought I'd say a bit on how I think about that. I think the size of Zeno Clash 2 was perfect. But if the levels were more connected, it'd be great. Like no loading screens, maybe the ability to jump and climb up stuff could be quite nice with Zeno Clash's unique architecture, more of an exploration. An island or peninsula you could explore every nook and cranny of would be perfect. Or maybe several islands since Zeno Clash likes to go to lots of varied locations.
I actually really liked the structure of ZC2, and the gameworld was the perfect size. I think that if they makea third, they shouldn't do co-op, so they can focus on stuffing the world with as many great stories and characters as they can without any dev time having to go to co-op gameplay. My only complaint about ZC2 was that I wanted to meet more of the worlds inhabitants, learn more about how they survive in this crazy world of anarchy, learn about Zeno culture, etc.
I agree with the above poster. I loved every bit of the designs for the ZC2 characters and was always left wanting to know more and more about them. And co-op brawler gameplay can open up so many brawling possibilities, as well as addressing issues with crowd control and being surrounded by enemies.
I think that a well-done partner AI that can also be player controlled could be great. That way the character fits into the story whether or not you have someone to play with.

If we were to do a 3 we would very likely remove the coop / multiplayer in favor of a more robust single player experience. We launched ZC2 nearby the release of Bioshock Infinite, and I remember that at the studio we felt that our game was comparable to it in terms of scope (though obviously smaller) ...but we also had multiplayer which was a massive feature that makes any game much harder to develop. In retrospect, for a tiny indie studio like ours, to be thinking about whether or not the complexity of our title was comparable to an AAA juggernaut like that, was insane.

There has always been the "what if" (hanging on the back of our minds) of how ZC2 would have ended if we made it SP only. Obviously doing so would have allowed us to deliver a better SP experience, but I don't have any numbers or stats about how many people actually enjoyed it in coop.

My impressions are that most die-hard ZC fans played solo and ignored the coop completely, but I have no data to back this up.
