The reason is simple. It's the same reason why i always want to play as a guy: because i'm a guy irl.
Girls might wanna play as girls in games aswell. Unfortunatelly there aren't many games out there that let you choose your gender.
There's still this primitive thinking that most gamers are men while this isn't true at all. Female gamers have been around as long as video games.
That's pretty lame.
She's still always with you somehow yet you only even so much as get a glimpse of her during the cut-scenes. The only real indicator that you're playing as Ghat is the grunting and screaming going on throughout the game.
Honestly I just get tired of hearing deep throaty grunts emanating from my headphones all loud and obnoxious-like.
Not that high-pitched screetch-screaming is that much better, but I've played enough games with deep throaty men and it all gets old really rather quickly.
Just as a note - originally Rimat (or Ghat) were meant to follow you through the world as NPCs when playing in single player, but it ended up being such an challenge that this feature was also cut.
cause I'm not a fan of rimat
Ghats is all about freedom
while rimat basically has her goal set at save father-mother which is kinda lame imo
And since co-op doesn't work playably and they've made no attempt to address this, that means you can't play as her. Wish I'd have known that before I bought the game. The literal only reason I purchased it was for co-op.
You should really update your store page with "Notice: Online Co-operative play disables the ability for the joining player to block, lock on, do combos or access the menu shortly after every map load."
i'm a girl and feel EXACTLY that way time and time again we as females keep getting undercasted in games. UFC was a huge upset i bought that game because i thought there would finally be options to do a career mode, make a fighter, etc. yet there are no options at all in the game for females and the roster is only what 5 girls to pick from? when the ufc female roster is pretty decent. also AC unity another one finally we get an actual AC game based entirely off 4 player co-op and you'd think since they only had ONE game mainly letting u be the chick (liberation) maybe this time around we could finally create our own female chick to stand out. NOPE. this game is same way chick is just "there" i mean again no offense in this it just does suck. games like no more room in hell for an example went years without having a female finally they made a skin and it may not be a big issue for some it, does make gaming for others a bit better. i just agree with this not many games with females as an option. with that said more games need to be like what saints row 4 gat from hell is doing one player is going to be male the other female but both have heavy roles or a really really underlooked game from way back hunted the demon forge maybe it wasn't the best game out there but it was really awesome to have two really badass roles male and female and they both had equal parts when it came to combat, dialougue, story importance etc. anyways just glad someone gets it <3 sorry for the long rant <3
Bravo ACE on the decision, I can see how bad AI pathing and babysitting AI all the time would be a pain in the ***. I was thinking about why NPC wouldnt follow me while playing but ultimately love the implementation - very clever battle system!
