entering safe code broken on steamdeck

I found the safe at my "home" and it asked for the 8 digit code. I used STEAM-X to bring up the onscreen keyboard on the steamdeck, and it lets me type in, but there is no way to actually submit the code. Enter on the keyboard does nothing, neither do the X, Y, A, B buttons. You also can't use backspace on the on screen keyboard to correct a mistake. Every time you have to quit the game to reload

It's 'verified' but this is kinda a game breaking bug. Other than that it's been great.
