Is there actually a version of the story where everything is explained?

OK, I have a blog/website where I review games sometimes and I wanted to do Home. But before I did, I wanted to see if there was an actual story before complaining about it and looking like a rube.

I don't know Benjamin Rivers. I have no idea if he's a pretentious hack or a really cool guy who made a game that I just didn't really like. I know he at least used to visit this forum, but did he explain the poor "storyline", or did he say something like, "But ambiguity is the NATURE of the game!"?
