Achievements not unlocking/syncing

Am I the only person with certain achievements not unlocking on steam?

I've managed to gather a fair amount of achievements in this game, however for some reason I still have 'Manservant' locked. How is that even possible when clearly it must be one of the first achievements to get - part of the story no way to miss it.

I'm also missing 2 trophies so far - 'Wingless Messiah' and 'Dark Alchemist'
Last week I completed the 'lar defence' quest, killed the boss - no steam achievements as well.

Since all of these are story related and all show as complete in the in-game achievements menu, it seems like I will never be able to get these on Steam.

Is there a workaround on this?

I unlocked Manservant but not the other achievements while messing with VH save folder and files in various ways.
I don't know what exactly matters, but it probably involves leaving only bare minimum of empty save folders, recreating char (same name, class, difficulty as broken one) and mixing/matching files from broken and new chars while playing the game to unlock achievement again. Network features don't matter, at least I kept all VH-related online features of both Steam and VH disabled since day 0.

I fixed this today. Here is how I did it after trying everything else.

I moved all my saved games and achievements file. Essentially resetting the game. Removing the achievements file alone was NOT enough. Apparently the saves hold this info in some form.

Turned off steam sync for the game.

New toon - Rush door - easy unlock.

My acheivment for protecting the lair did not unlock, I know no enemys went thru. SinRopa's fix works for those that know how to move files, but for us that don't know how its not much help, any other ways to fix the problem.

I can assist you with moving files, if you wish to go down that road. If the game thinks you have done it, its likely the only other option will be to reinstall.

I was unable to find any other solution, I just faked the reinstall to save my games. Obviously I could never try everything and there may be a solution or patch in the future.

Thanks for the reply, at this point I do not. I will try again [new char] if that dosn't work then I might try your fix with your help if its alright to contact you for that help at a later date.

Is it prefect defence or protecting the lair in general? The protection achievement did not unlock for me with the first char. Not sure if that was because traps killed the final boss, but it did unlock with the 2nd char when I was definitely the one to kill him.

What I'd suggest is creating a backup of your save just before doing this again. This way, you may revert to old save in case something doesn't work again.

Check in-game that the achievement is not on your list of accomplishments... If it is, you will be wasting your time doing it again.

This is based on the fact that I completed manservant 19 times and finally for the 20th after I had tried everything the file reset removed it from the list and I then got it unlocked.

A new toon will already have it on their list, hence the issue.

As for contacting me, I do not mind if anyone contacts me for assistance regarding this or any other issue. As an achievement ♥♥♥♥♥, I understand. :P
