All else worked on normally.
And others I did prioritize for a while when I needed some stuff from them urgently. For example an armor smith who was too far from the iron production and I needed armors, so I prioritized him till I had expanded the iron production sufficiently. Again no problem like you experienced.
For a while it works fine, of course, but somehow my complete economy broke down.
If I hadn´t easily resolved the issue (completely zero items carried to the tavern or elsewhere) by just undoing the prioritization, I would say there was something wrong with my economy.
But just after removing all prioritization, they started to carry firewood, sat down at the tavern, new carriers were produced, everything worked fine as it should.
Maybe it´s prioritization on special buildings? e. g. I had it on the military academy, the weaponsmith, treasury, tool smith, etc.
And it seems to be a vicious circle:
Once you prioritize X, then you think that Y should also prioritized, etc.
In sum I never had more than 5 buildings prioritized at the same time and yes, the issue was resolved at once, when I removed all prioritizations.
The others were shorter, might have been an hour but can't really say.
