Tutorial mission - where's the Magical Compass?

I'm near the end of the tutorial mission, but I can't find the Magical Compass. I defeated the boss camp (both of them). Help!

Your guards need to conquer the land around the last base. Then a carrier will carry the item home (to the ship I guess).
That will take some time.
