Stop Guards extend border

Is there a way to stop guads to extend the border. I can set the focus point in a different internal area, but its not working. Now I have a Werewolf area and one-by-one guard is running to them to extend my border. Now they produce a huge werewolf army ....

1) You can "pause" the tower (upper right) 2) you can set the guards to zero.
3) not build the border stone type

1, 2) But pausing all guards will leave the tower.
3) if i like to extend on another side, I need to still produce. :-/

A hint I found on this is the Focus point creates the starting point of the expansion though regardless of its location the tower will capture all land in its work radius (circle on the mini map)

You can use this to keep expanding around the enemies but eventually you will probably have to stop the expansion if only that area is left to claim

I'd love to see an option to toggle border expansion on a per-building basis.
