Primal Carnage vs Dino D Day

For what its worth I think both games are good and seem solid... but sadly from all ive seen of this game (youtube mostly) its imensly off balance and its over all thought is lack luster. Ill admit its a great looking game with some impresive visuals, Ill give it that.

The gameplay of dino D day is balanced to a key where Ive had games so close in score it could of ended with a draw. Its graphics arnt that great but the the over all idea of it, Nazis cloning dinosaurs and using them in WW2 makes up for it. Heck the over all identitiy of the human characters in the game is strong and identafiable.

Over all I think Dino D day is better in these regards, and with its up and coming survival mode and a entire year of planned updates I dont think my opinion will change much. I do want to buy Primal but for now im not so sure.

My opinion is that Primal Carnage beats Dino D-Day. Dinosaurs with guns is kinda like the stupid cancelled ideas of Jurassic Park 4. However, I can only say that you should wait for the price of Primal Carnage should go down to make it worth it.

DDD is the better game. It's more unique with a crazy plot which, while silly, actually helps it. DDD lets you kill people with goats, or people with other people. It's one of the coolest ways to die in any game, so it gets major props just for that idea alone. DDD is my favourite dinosaur game ever, and is also my most played game on Steam. It's a shame lots of people dismiss the game just because it has 'crap' graphics (I don't think it is crap but people apparently do) or that it's 'only a mod' which it isn't. It's a source game, but that doesn't make it a mod. It's just plain fun.

PC is my second favourite dino game and I like the more stealthy tactics it uses for dilos and raptors. The foilage is really good. It's very fun too, but not as fun as DDD, even with the prettier graphics. Good graphics doesn't always good gameplay.

It is the same issue with DDD. People often say both games are unbalanced, and that the dinos have a big advantage, etc. I don't think either game is unbalanced. Both games require very good teamwork on the 'good guys' side (humans and allies) to be able to win. A good team can kill any dinosaur and go looking for more.

PC's graphics is years ahead from DDD's.

Well, it is at least more realistic than DDD's. Hitler making dinosaurs? If nobody's managed it today, I don't think they could've managed it then. Plus, the concept of breeding dinosaurs somewhere they would be isolated from the world of humans isn't that unrealistic, in fact it would be a good idea to have it if dinosaurs ever are recreated.

DDD has a cartoony and silly theme overall. The story fits. They never intended to make it realistic.

Anyway, I don't know wich game is better, I guess PC since the playerbase is bigger. But DDD has a lot more content (and more in the way)

And little dinosaurs are too overpowered: compsognatus kills you in three hits? Compsognathus!? Really?

I do admit, though, all other advantages of this game.

how old is DDD actually? PC is only here for like 6-7 months? and how much content/fixes did we get? alot i suppose... and that for just 15 euros

Hitler was a fan of the occult. Several games have Hitler with zombie soldiers and monsters. Why is Hitler resurrecting dinosaurs silly while Hitler making zombie soldiers isn't? The game itself obviously wasn't meant to be realistic. PC's plot on the other hand is just as bad. There's a whole island swarming with dinos, but they only send in five totally random people to 'clear it out?' The whole idea of it is pretty silly.

DDD gives me some lag now and then, but in general it plays well for me.

DDD has the better promo materials though, Their fake propaganda posters, war reports and newspaper articles (as shown on their website and in loading screens in game) are really creative and authentic-y, not to mention being generally awesome. Props to the devs for making those. They're one of the best promo pieces I've ever seen.

Compy isn't overpowered. Use a flamethrower although eople are already saying the flamethrower is OP >_> You should have seen the Compy before it got nerfed. It was much worse before.

P.S. I'm sure we can safely agree that both PC and DDD are better than that other dino game: Orion: Dino Horde.

Yes they are, and the microraptor aswell

That's why I said use the flamethrower. It's the perfect weapon against them.
