How Far Have You Gotten?

Genuinely curious as to just how far in, how much content, how many easter eggs, secrets, wacky OP builds & things of that nature everyone has already come up with so far.

At the time of writing this, I myself have already beaten Irradiated Fenrir, and Loki's Body, have just started attempting runs in Shadow Of Odin, and have unlocked Britta, Leifi, Gunnila, and Einar, with only 1 remaining - And I've only visited Jormungandr once (and died very quickly after).

Personally I favor Melee Weapons like the Greatsword with a Triple Chamber & 2 Turbo Mods attached, and then any Weapon I can make good use out of Lifesteal & Homing Mods with.

I've gotten near the end of the 2nd Region - then made mistake of an L4 level (Grasslands, which dropped very little ammo) instead of the boss fight - but I usually run into problems just gasping out of ammo constantly by that point. These auto weapons I like to use are constantly out of ammo if you don't luck into the ammo upgrades at the shops, sometimes they never show up there.

I have a love/hate relationship with the game because many of my runs end on the FIRST level of each of the first two regions. You get whacked by off screen enemies, pools of acid, shots by enemies behind you you didn't see, you miss health kits because the screen is so full of stuff going on, the damn Roly Polies just change direction 360 degrees at a whim you have no chance, some levels every dang enemy on the map is blowing up into damaging fragments or poison death drops etc. etc.

I finally got the Maggot lair by using a basic burst rifle with Acid Rune. I feel like the later game levels are too reliant on Runes giving you major damage over time improvements, but often you never find one on a run at all.

Reached the 2nd region's boss, but it just was a marathon battle, and it/they got a lucky shot after I'd whittled HP down to maybe 40%.

Just beat second region lokis body and hell at the same time.

I got a lucky gatling laser and a shortsword. Piece of cake! it was not! But i made it. Going for odin now! :D

Beaten the 3rd region's end boss, but not... well, you'll see when you get there, maybe. If you're paying attention to the trophy instructions. I was not expecting it to... manifest? in the way it did...

Edit: got all the holographic trophies now. The Frost Sword is bonkers.

Okay so from what I've been reading so far it seems like I'm relatively deep in, close to where Tom is but not quite that far yet - I have indeed been paying attention to the Trophies and I've now beaten both Skadi, Loki's Body, Irradiated Fenrir (again), and am now working on the Secret area Boss for the 2nd World and also the Main Boss of the 3rd.

Also yes, the Frost Sword is absolutely broken, just wait until you get insanely lucky and find a Primordial version with 5 Mod slots, PLUS a Primordial Turbo Mod & Triple Chamber - Anything you add on top of those (Lifesteal for instance?) and you're basically invincible.... kinda, all I'll say is, after you've beaten Fenrir a 2nd time, you're given the option to "Continue" - This means UNTIL THE GAME CAN (and will) KILL YOU.... Have fun. :)

I'm curious if anyone has unlocked the final character (Vampire guy?) yet, and if so, how/when?

I've about given up on the 2nd region. I'd had fun but it feels like nearly every weapon dropped or in stores is crap, the Powerful runes are either unaffordable in stores or never drop in play in this region, and all the getting whacked or running out of ammo in the first one or two levels is just unfun.

I think I finally Got Gud in the first region but aside from lucking into an Acid rune once or twice and then being able to tediously grind my way through endless maggot hordes to the 2nd region boss area, I've got nothing but Groundhog Day dying to show and I'm not enjoying the game anymore.

I unlocked the Ghost toon, I guess that's not vampire guy.

I haven't had this issue at all personally, at this point I've already beaten the Main Game, seen the Credits and am now working on the Mythic Challenges for every 6-Star Weapon, and the Secret Bosses found through the hidden paths shown on the Trophy Pedestals. Those latter 2 Challenges have been the only thing really kicking my ass, but I still haven't found the Vampire Character yet... Weird.

If you can get ahold of a good Melee weapon and put a Double or Triple Chamber Mod, plus a Turbo Mod/Rune, and then maybe a Mini or Normal Burst Mod? You will be borderline unkillable since Melee weapons either Deflect or outright Reflect Projectiles.

keep playing youll definately unlock killer weapons it gets insane really.

if you run outta ammo too often play the lil elf hero and spec for all the extra ammo nodes i her skill tree....running outta ammo is what i hate most so thats why i like her best i spose

Missed the hidden boss on the Odinsfall map so I'll have to do it again (oh darn), but aside from that, "beat" the game with the Muscle Moose and now I'm slowly hitting the grind for weapon unlocks/challenges and other fun stuff I have yet to unlock.

Weirdly, I found the Serpent map to be far more difficult that Odin's, but it's entirely possible that is just due to superior rng weapon drops.

I just bought it today after beating Stand Survivors, which is probably the only other similarly semi challenging game in the genre to release in the last decade....it's diff than this tho. I'm digging this one too

I have gotten to the third part "Shadow Of Odin", But i mainly ignore finishing up the game and go straight to looping on other chapters, i am HEAVILY happy they added the loop or Continue Run mechanic, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love looping in Nt, and now i Always loop in other chapters.
