Finding ella (likely spoilers)

I've done the 4 bosses and am at the location they point you towards after you speak to crowman. And the dude you talk to mentions you can visit Ella at the home she made for you. I thought this would be home sweet home but I didn't see her there. Can you actually visit her? Is this a branching path since the guy doesn't attack you? I know I can attack him to start a fight but if this is a branching path then I'd like to see the alternative first.

You can find her, but it's not at home sweet home, and for her to show up, you need all 5 of her notes first.

It does give you an alternate ending.

If you want to know where to find her:
She's in the area you wake up in after you fall off the bridge, at the beginning of the game. You can get there by going past the windmill if I'm not wrong
