Game freezes/crashes

Hi, the game freezes every time I started the game, I have a brand new PC, anybodys knows why? I have DirectX12 installed and all new stuff.

You must also have Directx 9 installed.
DX9 is not included in DX12!!

So. i clicked that link you provided read the forum and did everything that was in the forum and still doesnt work. did i install it wrong? ive had this problem since i updated windows 11 from 23h.2 to 24h.2 what do i do?

When does the game crash?
- When you start the software?
- When you load a scenario?

I also updated Windows 11 to 24H2 today. It doesn't seem to be causing any problems for me, I hope it stays that way.

You can view the installed DirectX variants using the "dxdiag" program.
Type dxdiag in the Windows start menu and then start the program. Switch to the "Display" tab. There, on the right-hand side under the "Drivers" view, you will see the line "Feature Levels". Somewhere at the end there should also be "...9_3,9_2,9_1". Then DirectX9 is installed correctly.

It crashes when i start the game it literally motions the main menu but when i try to click resume or anything it crashes and freezes at the same time

Will you try to help me somehow be able to play vsng cause i have the directx 9 installed correctly and vsng still isnt working

Is this a clean installation (vanilla) without any mods?
If not, try starting a vanilla version. Either reinstall the game, don't forget to back up your data, or try the demo from the publisher's website:

You can install this in parallel.
Sometimes the problem is just a "broken" file, for example a ship.

You can also switch from DirectX to "Vulkan", but I don't think that will solve the problem.

I already have vulkan installed and ive already tried with no mods but ill try doing no mods again ive already deleted it and reinstalled it trust me ive done all of this except trying with no mods more than once

oh and also i cant download it from the actual website itself cause it requires a key after registration. and if you try to buy it it takes u to a website that says "Product does not exsist" and i cant get a key ive seen so many people say the need a key and cant get one.

i'm having the exact same problem as Alex, It worked fine a week ago thought? i don't know what the problem for the game is, and I've tried everything suggested can someone help?

Beax. Imma fact reset my pc tomorrow to see if that fixes it and if it does ill comment it but if it doesnt then its smth to do with windows and that will be my final conclusion to it

Factory resetting in fact did not work. it worked once it opened once then went straight back to doing what it was doing before so im saving up to buy a pc that hopefully wont put me through this same ♥♥♥♥. so. yeah.

I have same problem. When I first time start this game it was worked normally. But now its freezing at start screen. But if I push ESC button it working normal. However if I click anywhere on menu game crashing. I tried all solutions in this page but nothing happened.

I think its windows. Cause prev version of windows 11 it wasnt doing any of this so i think it’s something to do with windows

GUYSSSSS if you disable the extra scenery and boats the game runs, obviously if you are fine with the missing content then do this, if not then i dont know but yeah disabling the dlc works
