Aurum price / services prices may be too expensive.
I understand that as a free to play game a cash model for benefits is something needed, and Funcom is just right about it, but some of the pricing for the benefits are kinda over, and being on euro don't help at all.

1000 Aurum is 9,99 Eur, what convert to (right now) 11,63 dollars, and when converting to even other currency become the price of some (actually good) games.
1000 Aurum is what is needed for a extra character slot or Sprint V (Bonus speed buff), 12 bank slots are 800 Aurum, +5 inventory slots (after 60) 700 Aurum.

Was talking about it with some friends before, we were thinking about getting a extra character slot to create new characters and play together with another friend who wanted to start playing, but the price just made them give up on the idea as soon as we checked it.

I want to see this game grow and funcon prosper as the creator of some games I love, but I don't feel rewarding to buy aurum and just can't recommend to a friend to spend on cash in SWL when some of the basic stuff is half of the price to buy Witcher 3 or one third of the price of Monster Hunter World. (Or about the same price of getting GTA V at 34% off right now)

Totally agree with your post.
I was looking around to buy an extra player slot and after converting the money in my zone it was about the same price of buying Vermintide 2 or KF2 in their current price. It's to much just for one extra slot.
Lastly some friends who wanted to jump in after cheking the prices and deals they quickly turned around.

Yeah, sadly my friends droped the game because of it, as they said, they were willing to spend a few bucks on the game, but "not into paying fullmeal price just for the first drink".

For me being a lifetime is easier as I got the extra slots, but been hard to try to atract new people to the game because stuff like that. Probably Funcom would get more money from those if they did some localized pricing through Steam to buy Aurum like some other games do, or some rework on some of the prices for the ingame stuff.

I agree, too.

Making basic services like buying additional bank slots that expensive is quite ... well, better leave this to the readers' choice.

Yep, there are other games getting away with similar prices, I know those from e.g. Neverwinter. But there, the community is a tad large, the generation of in-game currency to buy the pay currency had been easier, and the game world was way larger, and more regularly expanded.

In SWL, with it's really not overwhelming endgame content and player count, it's putting new players off. Before they pay for anything.

Aurum price is okay and you can just reduce it value because thats total unfair to ppl bought aurum before the price reduce, which will result devastating even have problem with lawyers.
However,I agree with that bank slots/bag slots are way to expensive....you can just reduce the slots cost, but leave aurum where they are.O you can design some mission that give slots as reward, and leave the price of buy them with aurum the same. Both way could have work, the last will better because the first solution is also unfair to ppl who already bought slots with aurum, but has less impact then reduce aurum value itself though.
Anyway, change those paid stuff should be very careful....
For those ppl that their economy not permite to spent money ingame,I recomend just buy patronage thats the most worthy thing then get ingame stuff ingame by grind. There is nothing you cant get free by grind, tbh.

Actually, one of the reasons they use aurum and not just "money" is to keep a control of value as even real money was a floating value.
They can anytime they want change it value as it's how money and virtual currency (what aurum is in a way) work, but so far they probably did not feel as it was needed.

Yeah it's in some way unfair to people who spend before in aurun or aurun in slots or stuff if they change the prices or ammount needed, but it's no different to people who buy a game or anything else and some time later the price of the game/stuff is lowered or happens a sale.
It's how the world and money work, and it was never a 100% fair thing at all.

Patronage also can be actually is pretty expensive in some countrys, but is indeed helpful.
But the issue is not only "be able to spend money ingame" but more "feel worth to spend money ingame", for the friends I mentioned in my initial post for exemple (And even myself that I'm already a player that still play time to time) did not feel like the price asked was worth the benefit of the extra character/bank/speed bonus.

Of course grinding is a option too, but for people that have a job/study/family that consume time again the time spend grinding may be not avaible or feel worth, what can end making people go away from the game (It sadly did for my friends) feeling the price paid/time is better spend on other games and stuff.

You cant just want all and spent nothing dude....everyone have limited time,if you choose to spent them on real life then your lack of grind capacity ingame is very fair....We spent some much time ingame,we deserve have better equipment, while you gain happiness from be with the family o gain money from job.
Also, its your choice to spent your money/time o not at any game you like, nobody cares and should not care....
And last, why they should make paid ppl and those ppl whom capable for pay at this aurum price suffer the unfair and make them disapoint by lower tha value of aurum, just let YOU,a ppl not already paid and sounds like not have good capacity for pay feel good? They are a company they are not commies.Just, man you cant want everything.......you need to spend something in change, time o money.
About worthy....its all about personal view.I feel worthy for example, and my economy is more than able to pay ingame stuff.
