The primary differences are a few Faction missions, the flavor text of mission turn-ins, and some cosmetic colors - there's some clothing rewarded in 'faction colors', plus each faction has different faction uniforms.
The different Faction missions occur between major regional zone transitions, so while there aren't very many, you won't be able to do them together if different factions. This is honestly the only thing you won't be able to do together at this time.
In TSW, there was faction-based PvP where you were only able to fight with members of the same faction, but those PvP maps (Fusang, El Dorado, and Stonehenge) are not yet enabled in SWL. It may be something to consider down the road if you really, really like PvP, but it's not very meaningful right now.
There is no restriction to grouping, cabals, raiding, shambala, dungeons, emotes, say chat, or what have you. Sometimes, roleplay has some faction rivalry between characters, but even then you aren't prevented from playing with each other.
One more thing for newbie please. What about parties here? Will we be forced to play as party roles to go in dungeons and stuff? I mean is it necessary here to have one tank, one heal, and sevearal DDs to go somewhere?
It does matter in Elite Dungeons and Lairs, though. It's just how the game is set up. I know in TSW people had hybrid builds (like heal tanks) that covered a couple roles but I haven't seen those pop up in SWL yet. Not saying it's impossible, though, just ... not a thing that I've seen.
But thanks for mentioning.
