Mission that doesnt work ? "Gravity"
So i came across a mission that you cant complete. Its the Ferris Wheel section called "Gravity" you gran the Monocle etc and then turn the world yellow, then grab the red glass and turn the world red....after that you cant complete the mission as the game requires you to craft two items together? i tried google etc and the only craft window here is the Upgrade or Fusion button which i tried dragging the monocle etc into the Fusion Window but the game would not let me nor would upgrade work?
I searched the menu for a way to craft but no luck either?
I tried google and the SWL WIKI which says u should have a screen from example but to be honest i ddint have that...only the fusion screen? its the Nicholas Winter Mission number 3?

Why have it in their if you cant complete it for the 5200 XP?
has anyone else completed it under SWL?

Please take it out the game Funcom if the mission is not doable

I completed Gravity in SWL. You do not need a crafting window. It was so long ago, that I would not know what to tell you to do. Hopefully these will help:

Step-by-Step guide with pictures
https://www.tswdb.com/missions/savage-coast/gravity/

To get through Gravity Investigation:
(I put the Monocle in the Shift + 1 Slot)

1) Click Shift + 1 (This will change your quick bar and mouse commands.)
2) Left Click Mouse
3) Hit 1 or 2 (This selects the Color lens)
4) Right Click Mouse (Now you are seeing through the Monocle!)

* You will want to Pick Up Red Glass at the Ferris Wheel and Blue Glass at the Carnival Stands to have Red and Blue lens.
** Equip BOTH Red and Blue Lens to see Purple!

You will need to use a Different Colored Lens for each part of this quest.
The order is as follows:

1 Clear
2 Red
3 Blue
4 Red and Blue Together for Purple

I think that those guides were written for the old game. In SWL, you should be able to right click on the pieces and they will craft.

Worked for me:

Use the monocle (from the slots to the right of your gadget slot). Your action bar will change.

Use a colour (action 2/3) or clear the monocle (action 5)

Now look through your monocle (action 6). A buff should appear.

Does that help?

This is the big thing; you need to right click in the monocle interface to get the buff.

The second thing also is that you can't use the pages from the action bar (shift +1/2/3), you have to directly right-click each from your inventory (this part, if anything, is the bugged part of Gravity).

The mission doesnt say anything about picking up blue glass> it mentioned red glass and yellow glass
i thiink is too much for 1 mission and ridiculosly complicated compared to other missions. I cancelled it in te end as it got too much for me...i did hiis first two missions but couldnt craft tghe items together as the game suggested so i moved on from this poor thought out mission
You really should try to do every mission. Completing every mission in a map is part of the omni-achievement for the map that also includes that area's non-elite champions and dungeon tun. The omni-achievement gives a nice reward with a cosmetic based on the area and 10 AP + 10 SP.

I remember this mission in particular being weird but I got through it somehow. I'll try to go through it again tonight and see if I can remember the way to make it work.

I think most of the guides you find online are from old TSW play throughs and are correct at least 99% of the time but they removed the "crafting" window in SWL so some few missions changed. Most just have an interractable device to craft the mission specific stuff in somewhere in the appropriate mission area.

I think this one might have actually been simplified into a mission specific action bar for when you were using the monocles.

I saw on SWL WIKI someone said they cant find the crafting window...and someone commented its on Secret World not SWL....which i thought that was useless....i am trying to do every mission as i go...i went back to the savage coast and not moving on until i can continue enough.....I went to the ghost school....its mt favorite section...where you go and kill allt he ghost teachers etc.... spooky....
someone above said you need blue glass, but the quest mentions nothing about blue glass...it mentions yellow and red glass though
OK, so it's a typical investigation mission where there is limited information in game. They were designed as easter egg hunts and most investigation missions have thorough guides you can search for online. This one is weird though because I believe the TSW version used crafting in it.

The SWL version isn't as complicated as that.

First, you get the base monocle when you get the mission. You use it in quick inventory and it gives you a special action bar. At first it's just Q for the base monocle and E to dismiss the special action bar.

You use the base monocle to look at the will and it tells you a riddle that amounts to "go to the barn". The barn is nearby with the scarecrow champion in it. The plans are in the middle of the barn and I think you need to be looking through the base monocle to see them and pick them up. They're just a map that you can see the white/yellow lines on with the base monocle.

Follow the map to the bumper cars and find the next plans on the wall outside the bumper cars where the lines are. It has no lines with the base monocle so you need to find the red glass to make a red monocle. Follow the lines away from the bumper cars to the ferris wheel. The red glass shards are on the ferris wheel platform behind the shack. When you pick them up, you get a red lens on your special action bar as left click.

Use the red lens to look at the second plans and you see red lines. Follow the red lines to the food court like shacks where you find the next plans and the blue glass shards nearby. The blue glass shards give you a blue lens on your monocle special action bar as right click.

Use the blue lens to look at the third plans and you see blue lines to follow to the next plans. These plans have no lines with the base, red or blue lenses but you get to see purple lines if you use both the red AND the blue lenses at the same time to effectively make a purple lens by combining the blue and red at the same time.

Again, follow the lines on the latest plans (purple this time) to get to the last part of the mission. It's not plans this time it's a circuit diagram on the side of a small building. Use the purple to expose the entire diagram then, starting at purple again, use each portion of the diagram counter clockwise and your mission is done.

TSW Database[www.tswdb.com] usually has good walkthroughs for missions so if you do a browser search for the mission they're usually on the list and usually great for getting those annoying missions done that you can't figure out yourself.

I used them for the vast majority of the investigation missions in game myself. Really not patient enough to try to figure out some of the weird ones that already require out of game resources to determine what the heck you're supposed to do. Heck, the investigation mission type was designed to be completed as a community effort not just pure solo effort to figure them all out.
Yes i did the barn bit, following the WKI and picking up the plans. I used te WIKI to do the bumber cars...i had no issues with that part

it was this part i bcame lsot as the WIKI mentioned nothing about blue glass "Use the red lens to look at the second plans and you see red lines. Follow the red lines to the food court like shacks where you find the next plans and the blue glass shards nearby. The blue glass shards give you a blue lens on your monocle special action bar as right click."
I use SWL WIKI...its usually pretty good but this instance nah it missed off BLUE GLAS...thats where i got lost and gave up and when to the Spooky Ghost School!
Yeah sometimes some of the sites are a bit meh for specific missions. You can usually find a good guide for every mission between TSW Database, CryGaia or Unfair.co.

If you pick one and get stuck and unable to figure it out with one guide try another. I had actually used TSW Database for finding where the red glass shards were in the above run because I forgot where they were and totally missed them while following that set of lines.
yeah i usually move on when a mission gets annoying..or frustrating...i might come back to it one day!
I'm not sure why you were looking for the crafting window unless you were obtaining instructions from a very old website.

INFORMATION

The crafting window was a feature of The Secret World (Classic) game that came out in 2012. Funcom did not add this feature in Secret World Legends which was released in 2017.

However, they they added a sub-menu if you noticed, that gives you the ability to drag the red and the blue glass when used with the Monaco gave you purple and the means to find the fifth part.

My guess is that the reason you ran into so much trouble and confusion was that the websites which offered the solution, did not bother to update their directions in accordance to the new menu feature.

In my opinion, it's best to use the muscle that matters most which is in the head to at least try to figure out how things work first before seeking assistance which has the possibility of leading you astray.

I realize that this is a post written almost 5 years ago, but I am leaving this so hopefully someone doesn't run into this in the future and now you know what to look for. ^^
