Game Engine is 32 Bit, optimized for Win XP and will never face an update.
Runs like s*h*i*t on modern 64 bit HighEnd PC´s with massive framedrops and memory leaks.
Deal with it or uninstall
But the other zones do perform pretty well for me. If you're running with integrated graphics, try reducing the screen size, running in a window and turning down all the quality settings (esp. texture and shadows) to reduce memory and CPU overhead.
1 - Play for a couple of hours. With a full install this tends to fix framerate drops (they sort themselves out, I think it has to do with the game decompressing data for the first time).
2 - Lower the Effects setting to anything less than max (in-game graphical settings).
3 - Change DirectX rendering mode (launcher settings).
4 - The classic, update your graphics card drivers.
5 - Move or install the game to an SSD if one is available. This won't specifically help with continuing framerate drops but it does vastly improve load times and there are invisible load walls in each zone that can cause a framerate hiccough for a few seconds on an HDD when you cross them.
For the Chat issue, please post a screenshot after sending a few messages so we can see what's going on there. Bear in mind there is no Global chat by default, all chats are zone constrained, which means Agartha will be the busiest chat but the other zones may or may not have activity depending in how many players are in there and depending on how chatty they are. I recommend joining Sanctuary - /chat join Sanctuary - as it is a global social chat for helping each other out and just chatting in general.
One final note that the game server is located in the US so if you live overseas it might be hard to achieve a playable latency.
im on a 64bit high end machine and get noframe drops since I downloaded the full game. Kekeri was just asking for help...not "tough love".
Kekeri make sure that you have the full game downloaded, when I first started playing I was having terrible lag issues but it was because of that, also the comments above by "Asasin" gives some great help and good ideas on getting better performance for this, and other games. Another item on the check-list could be adding a specific profile for each game that you often play intsead of using your graphics cards "global settings" if that is a possibility. GL, hope you get the issue fixed TSW is a pretty awesome game with some great visuals and an interesting story
