Problem is that you can't have any overlay cypher on the game so you spend your time alt tab and lose time while clicking, and dont tell me to actually write these symbols they are just awfull to do.

You can print out the solutions
Or hand-write them on a piece of paper, it's not like you need to copy the symbols down to create a manual guide on it as long as you use reference points.
Or pull up the solutions on a phone or tablet.

First time I did this quest I actually wrote down all the symbols and matched them to the letters...

And, when I came back to it in swl I'd already thrown away that sheet...

What bug me is that they have an ingame browser but you can't actually have it stay up and it dont remember the page it was on when it turn off automatically when you move.

Protip: take a screenshot of the rune circles and the journal, then proceed to minimize the game, and use said screenshots and some pen and paper to figure the solution out for yourself, afterwards simply click following your notes in game and it will go smoothly.

Or the causual way would be to google an image of said rune cicrcle where the runes you need have already been numbered and cheat your way through the whole thing while you have the game in windowed mode or said screenshot on a second monitor. The first way is way more fun though.

I'm just saying, in the modern age there's like a dozen ways at least you could use to overcome the challenge of not using an overlay (which... you can easily use the Steam overlay :\) to read a guide.

It is a blessing, and SWL players are lucky because it only came out this year! TSW players had to suffer for years. Lol

And the Steam overlay is also a great option. Use it all the time for multiple games.
