A Time To Every Purpose (BUG)?

the 2nd part where u gonna craft 6 bronze and 1 Umbo in the middle
tried to do whats on the journal still not worked
search to the internet not worked
is this bug?

Try different crafting stations... also try different order of placement in the window (make sure the center piece is last) the crafting bit in this mission is bugged but it will accept the correct recipe sometimes.

Copied form a clanmate, Coyaga, here is a tried and tested run through of the assembly. Hope it helps.
1st item is the spear on the table.
Collect the other 2 items.
Deconstruct each item by double click in inventory, in the order shown on the mats scroll.
Make a little drawing of the order you need to arrange the mats (so u don't need to switch once you have started the craft)
SPLIT all the items for the centre piece in invent.
craft centre piece
IArrange the 4 outer squares 1st & then the 2 x 2 centre squares
SPLIT the 6 items for the Ancile in invent.
craft Ancile
Start TOP LEFT, arrange your 6 squares
pop in the centre piece.

I cant even get that far. The missions portal would not let me enter the instance for months, crashing everytime.
Eventually I got in...and crashed.
I got in again....about 10 steps...crashed.
Again....20 steps...crashed.
Again,,,,made it to the oasis...crashed.
Again...made it to Lore and then to cave...crashed.
Figured I would speed run straight through mission using guide and get out before crashing....killed by guard.

Started an alt and have not tried again.
Will have a go when I am not sick of the sight of that mission.
I dream of the day when I can fail the assembly part :)

This mission is wasting my time and I'm about ready to quit this game. I cannot craft the second piece no matter what I do.

Ugh finally figured it out. Had to place my items without touching the corners.

I have allready trouble with building the first item. The crafting symbol on the craft table just not wants to appear. So I can't build anything. It is so frustrating and it seems nothing helps there

I fixed it by using empowerment crafting twice, but it did break the distillate I used without actually giving XP to the item. At least the quest objective is complete though

Edit: the distillate was fixed once I left the instance

A bit old on this. Found it by accident, but the crafting bug will go away every time if you complete the side mission O Tempora! O Mores! when it occurs(usually during 2nd part) then come back to finish crafting. Bug has something to do with the main and side mission going at the same time. No need to log off or anything.

One thing that definitely bugs the crafting part is to put stacked items into the crafting interface. Back in TSW, that crafting interface was what you used to make all your gear and whatnot in the game, and it was very common to dump stacked items into it and then split them into separate bits. Can't do that in SWL for this quest; I kept bugging it myself until I realized that.

Also if you have some of it crafted but the rest is bugged, sometimes if you log out and back in, one of the pieces should remain (if I remember right) and that should get you further along because you no longer have to craft it.

Still an issue and really annoying. Finishing the O Tempora mission first didn't help. Using a second crafting station didn't help. Splitting the items didn't help.

I did find out a trick that fixed the bug for me. Log out while still in the old city, log back in (which resets the quest) and make sure you read both the large scroll showing the artifact assembly as well as the small scroll showing the ingredient breakup. When I just read the big scroll I couldn't make the second part and the small scroll was no longer actionable. When I started over, reading both scrolls allowed me to continue. You still have to make the Umbo which is still in your inv, it will just say you can have only one but the parts go away. Then make the second successfully.

this worked for me so the answer is arranging 6 squares first than the putting center piece after the setup
