As far as I've been able to see, no more store... and sadly, seems, unless I'm missing something, that there's no way to preview pets/sprints before buying them. :steamfacepalm:
yes that's WEIRD for MMORPG! right? Store will make money but they remove it.

Indeed, I'm hoping they put in a new store/marketplace page, and definitely include previews for sprints/pets... as it stands, I'm tempted to buy some of the pets AND sprints for real-money/Aurum... but not going to do it if I can't preview them. Some you can look up online, but many return no images or videos anywhere... so they're going to lose sales as most won't buy things that blindly. At least not at the prices they're asking. :steamsad:

There is no centralized item shop - if you want clothes, open the wardrobe. If you want pets, open the sprints and pets screen, if you want to make your inventory bigger go to the inventory page, if you want to buy AP or SP go to the Abilities or Skills screens, etc.

+1 and Sidenote: I enjoy this setup rather than having a centralized location..stores seem to gimmicky.

I do also prefer this set-up for many reasons but I can understand why not being able to preview stuff is kind of annoying.

It hasn't been updated in a while but you can see some stuff at Sephora's Closet :\ https://sephorassecretcloset.wordpress.com

And it seems lots of folks missed this or are simply ignoring it due to the ease of getting stuff on the fly but if your into role playing in SWL. The central tree in Agartha hosts vendors selling potions, weapons, gear, and vanity items.
"No way to preview pets/sprints before buying them" buy it at our own risk x(

But SWL's dressing room has everything centralized. There were at least 10 different locations you had to go to in TSW to preview clothing, and a large amount of stuff that couldn't be previewed at all. I happened to prefer needing to go to lots of different places and think that was beneficial to the atmosphere of the game, but if we're talking specifically about the better system for previewing clothing, SWL is unquestionably better.

Sprints on the other hand are an oversight. But my recollection is that TSW's old store page only sold a handful of sprints, and only provided a picture to give you an idea what those looked like. The good stuff was gained through the random drop cash bags or auction house, and had no previews.

No, it isn't, as conclusively proven by how many people seem to have trouble figuring out how ro preview without somebody not Funcom telling them. The old cash shop in its final incarnation has a preview button that tells people that's how you rpeview. TSW vendor have a different button that still tells people that's how you preview. The dressing room actually needs to tell people how to preview. As long as it doesn't, it's terribad.

Also, what feels like almost half the items not even having a genric preview image is a big step down from the TSW cash shop. At least that one should be as easy to fix as correctly linking graphics resources; a good way of telling people how to preview will be a lot harder to come up with.
So...people are literally too stupid to think, is what you say. Not even trying to click on the item in the dressing room and then on a colour...how stupid can a person be? Guess they wouldn't have ever found out how to find any of the Menu-Points, since the game doesn't tell you that either...

Oh, no doubt, this I wholeheartedly agree with. Even just previewing in TSW was clunky and sometimes took awhile for the preview to load, or even at times wouldn't load at all. I love how easy it is in SWL to click the color of the clothing piece in the right side of the window to preview it, and then quickly click it again to turn off the preview... so without having to move the cursor all around, just click on and off, making it so much easier to do quick comparison between what you have on and what you're about to put on. :steamhappy:

EDIT: As for the sprints, yeah, big oversight... I was ready to buy the police motorcycle (since in general I'm a motorcycle/chopper enthusiast in RL and love having them in games I play, and have always kind of liked police motorcycles since "CHiPs"), but with no preview, and the only image-grab I could find of it online, perhaps it's the angle, but it looks HUGE (and not so much like a traditional police motorcycle but more heavy on blue shades), thus didn't buy it. If I recall there's another motorcycle buyable for Aurum that I wasn't able to find anything for, and thus there went that sale too. :steamsad: (Even a picture would be great, more so than a cartoony icon that probably won't do it justice [like how the cat or dog icons mostly all look the same]. -- would love to see sprints/pet window made like the dressing room, so when you click on one, it will show you either mounted on it to see what it looks like and be able to rotate it, or for pets show the pet in the center of the window with the ability to rotate it.)

Don't mind Arkady, I think he's a member of that "Boycott Call of Duty" group from back in the day.

I should also note, I agree with some of the posts above that it was nice having a sense of having to go to places and "window shop" of sorts (was part of the point of having an entire city for each faction, otherwise the Agartha teleports might as well just go to the HQs... outside of a handful of quest locations), or even the need to explore/search for what you're looking for. Or even just the atmosphere... they can keep it as it is, but at least have the NPCs in London, both the ones just above the Agartha entrance, and the ones in the clothing store, sell something... heck, even gimmicky tourist-wear or heal potions, or something. Sometimes it's a tad sad running through, I think it's called, The Horned God (the place right above the Agartha entrance in London), and seeing those 4 or so NPCs just standing there, non-clickable, and not even any discussion options... just sort of NPC mannequins. :steamsad:

(Perhaps even have specialty items for Museum of Occult upgrades, like duct-tape, lol, or decorations for Museum of Occult placed on some of these shop/stall NPCs... give us at least something we have to seek out on them that's not necessarily critical to the main game... not that clothing/outfits really are either, but still, heh. Maybe even putting some faction-specific clothing/outfit/pet items on these shop/stall NPCs that aren't doing anything, and having them in each faction-city.)

By Funcom's estimate, people are so bloody stupid they absolutely need to be forced to run the same obnoxious hand-holding tutorial on every damn character they create. Does that answer your question?
No, since it MAKES SENSE to leave it like that...why program in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ check for an unneeded functionality? They would have to program in a state saved in the account wether or not the tutorial was done already...that would be stored. Then they would need to ADD an option to skip the Tuto...meaning it could lead to unneeded bugs. More POTENTIAL trouble than it's worth, really. Actually, I played a lot of MMOs...can't remember a single one with such functionality. "Normal games" even tend to lack such options nowadays, especially with Tutorials often being woved into the story or functions being introduced after some time....

I do presume you do need that tutorial every time. And yes, if you were intelligent enough to leave well enough alone, I would return the favor.
Meh I don't care, you don't really have anything intelligent to say ever, just a lot of salt to spread.
