you get the 5 A basic skill for unlucking the weapon.
Everything else, including the 'starter' passive, you have to pay AP / SP for.
anyway, not having the option that any weapon you wanna use from the start, will allinate most of the old TSW players. I understand this game is a new one.. again.. trying to appeal a new crowd.. but sadly, a dumber one..
Game is trying to be more idiot proof. Because the regular MMO players are too dumb and they need to be held hands by the game. And pay for that help in regular intervals..
The skill wheel, the progression system, the no level chars...
SWL killed the everything which made TSW unique...
I can accept making a new game.. but do not kill the old one...
do not use the name of the old one to promote your new game..
do not use the old reviews of your game to promote the new one,
do not use people's time spent in the old game, to promote the new one..
What they are trying to do, get the idiotic, regular MMO player base jump into the F2P but Pay to have fun and grind less game, and in order to do that, they have to make game EASIER to play, HARDER to progress..
and that was the most unique part of TSW...
EASIER TO PROGRESS, HARD TO MASTER AND PLAY...

It was not the complexity killed the game,
not the skill wheel,
not the progression system..
TOKYO KILLED the GAME..
yes there were bugs, long maintenance times,
failed events, failed instances.. but TSW veterans dont whine about them..
we only wanted, the amazing content to continue..
the amazing athmosphere to continue with the amazing story..
but they just screwed.. TOKYO was a total fail IMO..
Just look at the TYLER FREEBORN quests... just look at the SOLOMON ISLAND environment..
then look at the TOKYO.. Tokyo is just a generic ♥♥♥♥..
When the devs and producers accept that, they killed a fantastic game with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ content they kept adding after the Transilvania... (last semi good content)
They killed..
Now SWL looks like to me, like they are saying,
"We cannot continue to produce content like issues 4-5-6 of TSW, so we need to find a player base, not to play for story, scenery, quests, but items, weapons, grind.."
Again..

Dont dare to shut down TSW servers...
Namely its been cut right down, many quests are none existant now (removed), alot of others are easy compared to what they used to be like.
Some are confusing and extreamly fiddly.
However what i do not like is that most things have been buy to use, yup this game is very much P2W.
oh and dont waste your time buying keys to unlock those purple lockbox's, from what i hear they dont drop jack sheet, some have opened over 100 and just had distallates, dungeons so far all i have had is distillates BUT you will need these to upgrade your items, you need 2 of the same type at lvl 20 to merge to the next tier, then lvl those up and require 2 to merge it up again. I think there are 5 tiers green-Blue-3rd-4th-5th (not sure of tier colours).
I dont think gadgets (item above waist slot) can be upgraded at all, so this will be lvl 1 all the time.
I have not found what goes in the upper middle right or left and lower middle left as of yet. Just entered 3rd zone so maybe something will be given from quest reward from here (monsters dont drop loot at all) so will be required to re-run all the quests in each zone to get quest reward to upgrade gear (slowly).
They could have at least done somethign for those that had TSW ultimate edition or better or all the DLC's from TSW, rather than say hey thanks but now we want you to purchase all the time to play. Its veryu very heavy on the Cash shop and i believe thats what people class as P2W.
You can unlock other weapons with marks too. I did so just last night, and it didn't take too long before I had enough to do so.
Paying real money to do so is an OPTION.
