Camera Mode
Maybe this has already been answered, if so sorry.

Is there any way to switch the camera from being attached to the mouse movement? I've dug around and tried and found jack. I can hit Alt or T and toggle in HUD Interaction Mode, but only until I move around again.

Would like to know myself, as a disabled gamer, this new combat is not something I like...I want my tab targeting no need for mouse gameplay, am I screwed out of legends?

Kind of dreading that there might not be an option to change it. I get motion sick and cant' handle it myself :(

A friend I spoke to that went through beta said "That's how it is now." So for the time being it looks like no SWL for me.

As of now there are two camera modes:

- The (default) reticle mode
- The 'over the shoulder' mode

Press Alt and then mousewheel to zoom in/out.

Considering they are redesigning some of the PvP zones around the new system, it's more likey never at all.

I could use it if they put in a gamepad scheme, but yeah...

I'm talking about how you can't toggle off that the camera is attached to the mouse. NOT just talking about in combat. I hit Alt, and was able to change my view with my mouse, but the minute I tried to move/play, it was back to "my" view tracking with the mouse.

I get that it's a common style. But a lot of games also offer a way to turn it off.

I just can't play that way sadly :( I get sick easy.

What you are asking is essentially what TSW is, not SWL. TSW first released with exactly what you are asking for, then later implemented a toggleable reticle similar to what SWL has now because a lot of people wanted the game more "actiony." (Though you still could only use keyboard for skills unless you a special mouse like Razer Naga.)

SWL is taking the action a step further (somewhat) by embracing reticle mode and being able to use mouse clicks to attack akin to a third person shooter, and really is kind of the entire point for the re-release. It's just that everyone has to use it now.

They said you can still download and play TSW through Funcom website, but not sure if you needed an account already currently, and not sure how long the old TSW will last. We at least know it will no longer be updated.

If you're getting sick in SWL try either zooming in or zooming out.

I suppose I thought there was more to the relaunch than just the camera and combat mode. Wanted to see content shifts etc.

As for zooming in or out, afraid not. I can't even play Diablo. First Person shooters are Hell. 3D movies are a no. It is what it is. Just color me bummed that I can't try out the new ♥♥♥♥ more.

Ah so you already played old TSW. Welp, don't know what to tell you then sadly.

Ya, like I said...is what it is. Bummer and all. I'll play "classic" while I can.

Luckily this combat doesn't seem to set off my Motion sickness the Frames issues with freezing a lot might though.. no idea why thisruns so much worse for me than TSW did..

Well, that's disappointing. I literally loathe reticle based control. I don't shy they can't just let you chose instead of forcing one or the other..
