Hey all! This post is mainly directed at future and returning players.

For the past 10 years, the community has grown in size, and one of the main cornerstones of it has been the CryGaia Wiki.[wiki.crygaia.org]
It has almost everything you need to know about The Secret World's universe, and will be reworked as we learn more to accomodate all of the changes in Secret World Legends.

If you have any questions on the lore of the game, about different achievements, missions, the alternate reality games - it is where you get it all in one place! We have over 16,000 pages and 6,000 articles and are constantly revising them to make it better. Anyone is able to sign up and contribute.

If you have any questions regarding the wiki, or just want friendly player assistance once SWL launches - feel free to ask!

might want to make sure it is up to date, but you might want to put SWL in it's own area, and the current TSW is not going any where, for the seeable future.

Well, they could use the time between "now" and when TSW goes down for good to update the TSW stuff. A lot of it is outdated, like listing quest rewards in currencies that probably existed at some point, but don't actually show up anymore.

No such thing as a 100% up to date wiki. In truth, there is always something that needs doing or improvement. That is the fun part. :) We have been steadily updating it since the wiki was brought back up last year. The more the merrier, though!

I am undecided how to handle the transition completely yet - I need to see Legends myself. However, I can say I am leaning towards prioritizing legends, as that is what is going to be recieving future content updates. There is no reason to create a separate wiki - CryGaia is for the expanded universe as a whole. Its simply a matter of renaming or moving articles, if thats at all needed. Time will tell!

There is for a game like TSW that hasn't recieved an update in a long time, and never will again.

Heck, TSWDB isn't even updated due to lazyness.
I'd tried submitting a ton of their missing lore and it still hasn't been put up. lol

Thats a valid concern, but I think it's important to remember that last year the site went down, and in the beginning, I had to essentially recreate it from scratch, until Sojourner was able to create a script to export everything from an earlier version that was still online. Of course, it is not perfect. But it is always being worked on, and anyone is able to register and contribute in any way. It is a team effort. That is one of the reason I am excited for Legends - I am hoping it will bring in some fresh blood. :)

Do you mean submitting lore to TSWDB, or Crygaia? I am going to assume TSWDB, because there is no way it "hasn't been put up" on CryGaia because the moment you publish an edit or create a page, it goes live. You do not need an editor to moderate it first.

Yeah I wondered why it went down.
I planned on making an interactable PDF of all the lore for my own personal use and was going to use that and TSWDB for the lore lists and noticed it was down and just thought the owners hadn't payed the bills or something.

Submitting it to TSWDB. I also tried helping with cosmetic lists and they're not up either. So I assume they've just got a huge backlog or have hibernated like a giant bear.

Basically under the previous management, the servers were moved and some stuff went wonky. It is still unclear exactly what happened, but a much earlier version of it was available and myself and a few others revived it. Its been up again since last June.

Yeah, getting your stuff approved on TSWDB would depend on who has the right to do that's availability. You are welcome to submit stuff on CryGaia, including pictures for cosmetics, as we have categories for that as well and it is in serious need of updating. No need to wait for approval, just submit and go. :) It is always possible to rollback to a previous version of a page (they are all saved), so any mistakes are easily fixed.
