Wheel of fortune
So there's really no way to deduce all colors. Any optimal combination of questions gets you the first and the second color and a 50/50 on the last one. I had to savescum to get this because I kept failing the 50/50 and got annoyed.

Did I miss anything. I mean 5 questions isn't enough to deduce all colors. Doesn't make sense the game wants you to start guessing though.

You don't need to savescum; the game has no fail-state and you can try as often as you want.

Except that requires you to do the fortune telling thing again and like I said I got annoyed losing the 50/50 after like ten times.

If this is the way to "solve" it, then it's a poor puzzle.

It's been a while since I've played it so I don't remember the details -- can you optimize the procedure by making a straight guess right at the first question, and if he says "yes" you use the other 4 questions to get the other 2 colors? That way, you'd only have to use the wheel if you know all 3 colors already.

Yea that's an option, but it's still try upon try upon try. That was my first goto, but after guessing wrong 4 times I just went with the approach I had here. This puzzle seems a bit botched because you can't actually solve it unless you get lucky. Which kind of defeats the purpose of predicting what it will be. Anyway. Small gripe. I got past it, but it just felt wrong.
I tried this puzzle hard, used a guide and walktrhough, i cannot pass it, i am going to find a save somewhere. Problem is that the guy is waking up randomly after a few guesses...very annoying.
Ok savefiles in C:\Users\xxxx\Documents\Book of Unwritten Tales\savegames. makes my game crash. I think I will skip this one, really unfortunate because it is a nice game. I am happy recent Point and clicks make their puzzles skippable now.
If someones know how to pass this point, I'be happy to know.
I am sooooooo...disappointed. How can you create a whole 3D universe and a very fine art ahead of its time PandC (2009). A ton of characters and 3D models and dialogs...And waste it with randomly generated puzzles that are not skippable. Some people play it for the story and not the puzzles. I will watch someone play it on youtube....to me it's like crashing a car with no seatbelt = total waste. How can you even program such a "mini game"...making it random is harder to make it scripted. Puting a timer on 5 answers and a time limitation is PURE EVIL. how can you even do that ? i wonder. what a waste of ressource. to create frustration ?

This is the only puzzle in the game that requires luck. In the end it's a 50/50 whether you solve it or not. I think it's poor puzzle design. But it's the only one that's like this. Push through. The game is very good and a lot of fun. This part just sucks.
Thanks man. I will try it again. Without your message i would have give up. THANKS AGAIN. 50/50 is not that hard after all :)
Ok, took a piece of paper, you have 5 questions to ask before he stops answering.
1) Ask: Is it COLOR 1 or COLOR 2 ?
According to nodding or naysaying eliminate the 2 wrong colors then
2) Ask: It is COLOR #
According to nodding or naysaying. Note the good color.

4) "let"s speak about next round"
Repeat STEP 1 and 2

4) "let's speak about next round"

1 answer remaining before he stops

1) Is it COLOR 1 or COLOR 2 ?
Eliminate 2 answers. You will have a 50% guessing chance on the last wheel spin.

Ask to play the game.

Pick the right colors for 1 and 2nd spin.
Guess on 3rd spin

It worked for me with 1 st answer. "Red"

Thanks and good luck.

Yep that should do it. Have fun with the rest of the game!
